Arise from the ashes, neglected thread!
I just started playing a few days ago. Quite liking it so far, though I mostly work solo (even though a friend dragged me in). It's still a bit glitchy (mission NPCs ending up on top of a mountain when they're meant to be in a cave, grahpics/display blips) but pretty polished.
Anyone else playing?

FireFall is a money grab game. don't waste your time.
There's no content what so ever. It's just grind and repeat forever. Also the company is in money issues and therefore the following patches will all be about new user experience and bringing the 90% of the game accounts back and try to trick them into buying things.
but don't believe me go ahead and download the game and see for yourself.

Isn't all gaming a "waste of time"? I haven't felt any urge to buy "red bean" currency at all. I figure only impatient people would need that to unlock new frames or hurry up production runs.
You're grizzling about lack of content, but it's in open beta and the core mechanics and such are what's being worked on. Content will be easy to add later. In the mean time I'm finding it a fun shooter. Only issue for me is that I expect I'll miss the jumpjets severely when I go back to playing any other FPS. :/

I've been waiting for content in Firefall forever. I've been in the beta for about 2 years if I remember correctly and all they've done is overhauled the classes and expanded the map.

Ah well, if I get bored with the current content before they release any new stuff I'll just shelve it for a while and return to my Steam backlog. God knows it needs the attention. :p

I'm skeptic when I read "free to play MMO".
Made the experience, that in most cases this translates as "yawn another generic pay 4 power grindfest with recycled and overused concept".
The visual style looks nice so I'm gonna give this a try, but I don't expect too much.
