Which, if any, of the Assassin's Creed games still require Uplay to be running even if they're purchased through Steam?

I've got a couple of them, but I'd rather deal with just one DRM at a time if I can. Now seems as good a time as any to try to swap them out--Amazon price matching and all.

Edit: Thanks guys.

AC1 not using Uplay. I believe its using Securom like the retrail but this might not even be the case. Rest is Uplay ofc.

I don't think any of them use Securom anymore.

The first one doesn't use Uplay. Every other game does though. Also, you'd rather get console versions since they aren't very good ports, especially black flag.

A) I don't own the consoles.
B) If I did, I don't have a TV.
C) If I did, I'd much rather use keyboard controls-even if they aren't great.

Ah, apologies. I'm still under the impression that I'm the only gamer in the whole world who doesn't own consoles. Haha. I do own the PC versions of all games, though, but the poorly optimised Black Flag is pissing me off lol

If your PC is good enough (ie not shit) there is no reason to grab the console version instead.

Fair enough, I have the first five games running well on my laptop (GT 630M). But Black Flag is running terribly - not that I was surprised tho haha

Yeah it needs uplay, but you barely notice it

The problem isn't that they use Uplay, but that I have no desire to play a game that uses both Steam AND Uplay.

Then buy it on uPlay...

That's my intention.

...Hence why I asked "which games require Uplay DRM even if they're bought on Steam." The first I'd heard of it was someone's response to the "things you've bought during the sale" post yesterday (or the day before). I already had two of them though from a prior sale and wanted to know if that comment applied to all of them or just some of them.

Or buy the retail copy.

You can use Enhanced Steam to find out if any other DRM will be forced on you (Chrome/Firefox).

EDIT: It seems that from all the 6 Assassin's Creed games on Steam, almost all of them require UPlay (except the first one).
