Does anyone else get tempted to buy a game when they are browsing the steam store and they see one with a "Mostly negative" user review? Every time I see one of these, assuming it's fairly cheap of course, I end up buying it! I don't know why, maybe because I want to see how bad it is? It's especially tempting when it looks good from the screenshots!

So, does anyone else do this, or am I just really weird and totally alone? :( lol

well, i'm the same way...but.....it's usually under a buck...or if I see it's in a bundle, I will buy the bundle just for that to "Take a looksie" and then the rest of the games just end up being steamgift fodder.....There's been a few games that despite being mostly negative I actually didn't mind that much.lol

usually I don't buy games if they are rated as "mostly negative". The only reason I would do this would be if it looks REALLY good, I already checked the negative reviews and if the negative reviews are in my opinion nonsense xD

I do not buy negative or early acess games. Make a poll.

See, I am addicted to survival games like Rust and such, so I always pick those up on EA.....otherwise, yea! I don't buy Early Access.

If i get it through a bundle for a cheap price, i will activate them on my Steam account to know how's the game and will remove it from my account if it's really a garbage.

I generally have a read of some negative and some positive reviews (don't think I've ever found a single game without a fair few of both) to get an idea of why. sometimes, even if it looks like a game I wouldn't like, it may look like one that's so awful it'd be fun to mock it, but then I'd only get it if the price is really cheap. otherwise I'll wishlist it in case it goes on sale

yea, i'll only pick it up if its around the dollar mark or lower...I'm not gonna sluff off 20 bucks on a negatively rated game when odds are it's going to stink..lol

May I ask how? Isn't it removed from sale?

Edit: It looks like it's not completely removed, just not available in some regions (like US).

Depends. Some of them may be hilariously bad.
The problem is that on Steam many of them are bad because they are just lazy cash-in titles, so they are either totally impossible to play due to lack of any game design, or downright boring as hell.

oh yea! I won't pick it up if the negs are due to it being unplayable..like when arkham knight came out...but if the reviews are like "The best feature was the uninstal option." or "Worst game ever" or "Could only stomach 10 mins of the game" or "Horrible! Don't waste your money!" then i am like "Ooooooo! Why's it so bad?!" and if its like a buck or lower? I'm buying that! lol usually I agree, the game ends up sucking, but I keep doing it...it's like a "Do not push this button!" sign.
