Did they paint Runamuck blue and clone him, or is that blue decepticon that there seem to be so many of based on some other Transformer?
Also, I really like the graphics in that game. Not so sure about the gameplay on display, it looks a bit generic, but time will tell if the looks are deceiving.

It does look like Runamuck & Runabout get to be decepticar clone mooks this time around.
Although, truth be told, if you're sticking with G1 designs, the Decepticons don't have a lot of lower-rank car-based designs to pick from.

I'm the other way round. I'm not too keen on the graphics but my experience with platinum in the past is that the games have been fun.

I have very limited experience with Platinum games, so I really can't comment on how their games usually play, I just base my comment on what little is shown in the video. But I do know of their reputation, so that was why I tried to be a bit cautious about how I worded my comment (had the game been made by a studio known for creating garbage, I would have been a lot less kind)

I don't know how to word this, but I hope they don't make any generic unnamed bot and put 1000's of them into the game so we can just have more enemies to destroy.
The autobots are for peace, so they shouldn't be focused on destroying and instead on self defense + strategic strikes + pre-emptive strikes.
And if we do get to play as the decepticons, then if/when we kill an autobot, that should be it for said character, and they are removed from the game (though still mentioned and stuff of course)
This would make for good gameplay and good story.

They probably just did. But going by the comic book continuity (why do I remember it so well? That thing went out of print in 1992 over here), there were numerous occasions where the Autobots actually did go in with the primary intention of killing the enemy. The world was a lot more grey rather than black or white in the comic compared to the cartoon, something that even my very young self appreciated. Actually, in the comics you even had a good amount of infighting in the autobot ranks, due to ideological differences.

War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron were great but I have a feeling the new game is gona be similar to Rise of the Dark Spark and the older games which were horrible.
I hope the developers prove me wrong though and deliver something that's at least close to the quality of WFC and FOC.

Developers are Platinum Games. So don't expect anything like the High Moon games in terms of playing style, but they usually have well-polished stuff. (ie. Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising...)

The old G1 Marvel comics actually had surprisingly good stories, once they got past the early awkward phase, where the writers had to stick close to the cartoon & toyline. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the last two or so years of G1 comics had some really great storylines, and this comes from someone who does not really like comics.
