I just want to ask...

Is it normal for the 'Definitive Edition' of a game to go to reduced CV retroactively when the base game is/was already reduced CV? It seems like my CV dropped because of this for Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition, and I just want to know if it's 'normal' to manage my expectations.

Or perhaps that title's CV dropped for another reason. It shouldn't be because of the current Humble price 85% off, as I believe that sale started more recently than when my GA occurred (ended 3 days ago). Does anyone know when HB started that sale price?

it should only retroactively drop ot 0 if game gets removed from store (ex. purchase disabled) and reduced CV if reduced date is set to prior giveaway end(?) date

Thanks, that link and info helps a lot.

But my question remains...

Is it normal for the 'Definitive Edition' of a game to go to reduced CV retroactively when the base game is/was already reduced CV?
I'm not whining about it... I just want to know if I should expect this as normal / standard / typical / etc..

Base game got reduced 2020. This got reduced 1Jan 2022.
There was a WB bundle https://isthereanydeal.com/specials/#/filter:search/middleearthshadowofwardefinitiveedition 6 months ago. But that seemes to be up to 90% and not 95. Dont know if that is why.

Or they sold it cheaper on grey market.

No, it is not normal.

I assume that the Definitive Edition was reduced/in a bundle/... at Jan 1st and support staff only noticed it now.

it should have nothing to do with the base game
possibly was at sale somewhere with atleast 95% discount (but don't have that info)

It was, nd maybe is, available on the grey market, in dif. shops, for $2-3 which is high enough for the reduced CV.

Because the support got, at least, one new, highly motivated, mod, a lot of stuff get handled.
And a lot of the, not correct set, cv will melt like butter in the sun...^^

still dunno if every price drop on greymarket would make reduce cv ,we could mark 50% of steam as reduced CV .

Also, even if the grey market price is so very low now, how does that justify the Jan 1, 2022 effective date? The beginning of the current month or the previous month would make more sense ( and it would still hit my CV ) than the beginning of the year.

Still, it's good news that there's such an active mod. Maybe there was a neglected ticket from January.
