On giveaways, why do people post "Thanks". is it because they won? or is it because they want the giveaway man to see them and pick them. Thanks

The winner is picked randomly by the site. After, the creator need to give them the game they won.
People post "thanks" because it is nice/polite.(Now everyone is posting "thanks' so it become something like spam...)

Neither, it's a courtesy to the creator for giving away a game.

its because we're thankful the creator of the giveaway is giving away a game when he or she doesn't have to, affording us the opportunity to win a free game.
