Anyone playing Long War 2 here? Some help needed.

I have some major issues trying to 'get into it' so far. Difficulty spike from regular game ( even Commander difficulty ) is overwhelming. By a chance anyone playing/played Long War 2 a lot and could brief me on how to approach game with this mode?
