Hey Guys! Just saw that Daedalic Entertainment is having another awesome sale.
I was wondering what you thought of their games.
The only game I am interested in getting from the deal is the Deponia trilogy but then again I don't know much about the rest.
Currently the only games I have from them are A New Beginning and Edna and Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes.
What do you recommend I get?

Any advantage in getting Deponia: Complete edition over just the three from other bundles?

Has additional bonus content not found in the individual games and a world map.

Do you think its worth it though say over the Armageddon bundle which I already have two of the games.

All up to you if you want to play the other games. As a fan of the Deponia games myself, I'd choose the Complete Collection. I'd only recommend the Armageddon bundle to anyone if one owns less than half of the bundle (more than half own means it's a waste of money.)

yeah I only own two of games out of the bundle and Im trying to decide if its worth it over just getting Deponia Complete. As you can tell I don't know much about their other games lol. Also thank you for all the advice.

As its name says, it's the "complete" edition with commentary and such. Compared to the 3 it's much cheaper, and also since it's only one game in total, the end size also ends up smaller. It's like 8 GB compared to 4-6 GB each of 1, 2 and 3.

Do you think its worth it getting it over the Armageddon bundle (which I already have two of the games) if Deponia is your main interest.

Depends on the price, I haven't checked the store since I'm busy at work, but... if it's pricey you might be able to try trade for it. I remember Complete Journey being 90% off when released, 30% off each Deponia game you own, 90% if you own all 3, so it became quite cheap.

Heck, it was cheaper than buying one episode. I ended up trading for it for just 1 TF2 key or so.

I read this review on GMG about the complete edition (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/es/en/pc/games/adventure/deponia-complete-journey/):

This release is a mess. Deponia games are good, of course, but this repackage of the whole saga is filled with bugs. Some miny-games are impossible to complete, there are a lot of freezes, after cutscenes sometimes the game quits to desktop, on Deponia 1 Rufus can't move, blackscreen...there are just too many issues, and the price is expansive. If you haven't played a Deponia game yet, just wait for a sale to grab the whole saga for 10€ or so. The added value for Deponia: The Complete Journey comes from developer's commentary and other little extra (some are present on Deluxe Edition of Goodbye Deponia), but the bugs are just too many to justify a purchase.

I have Armageddon Bundle myself! I think, imho, that it is one of the best. Some of their bundles are excessively large and have stuff that really isn't their prime, whilst others have that one great game missing - making the whole bundle a bit lacking.

Armageddon is the perfect bundle for you to know what's the best about them, leave the not so great for another day and don't miss on the best gems. Of course there is more to Daedalic than that bundle, but you can certainly get to know it some other time you've gotten to playing them more! (:

I was wondering what you thought of their games.

Worth the price, and the discount is the cherry on top for all the great adventures, pretty graphics and fantastic voice acting you're going to get!

Hope I helped and don't miss out on the chance to buy one of their bundles! You won't regret the purchase (;

If you are okay with point and click adventure games then Deponia is really good and it seems like a decent price. Myself I'm thinking about getting the Blackguards franchise pack - I've heard mixed things about it but it still looks good to me...

I'll stay clear of Blackguards, both 1 and 2 are bad in their own "unique" and very frustrating way. The point and click games, however, are usually fun, although most people will likely dislike Rufus (of Deponia series) a lot due to how he is. You'll know what I mean if you play the series, heh.

I heard people disliked Deponia's ending even though they loved the game

Is the ending suck? Yes! If they want to taught a value lession, do it somewhere else. Aleast made a plottwist or a hint or a after story explain the fate of our poor Rufus.

I would definitely recommend you buy Chains of Satinav. Love the artwork and the story's tone. And it's only a buck.

So armageddon bundle? Or Deponia: Complete + Chains?

I'm afraid I can't really be of any help on that matter since I have yet to either play or beat the other games. But if you crave point and click games then I'm sure the Armageddon Bundle will be worth the money.

Deponia, although there isn't a definitive ending. It's still pretty silly though. (MC's an anti-hero, just so you know)

If you like dark fantasy worlds, then it's hard to beat Chains of Satinav & Memoria.
If you prefer comedy, quips, and tomfoolery, then get Deponia Complete.
(Or do what I do, and get them all!)

Daedalic Super Bundle" gives you extra copies if you already own the games.
NOTE: You need to own "Premium edition" of Goodbye Deponia and The Night of the Rabbit, in order to take extra copies of them.

EDIT: Mmm Daedalic Super Bundle doesn't exist anymore, right? :(

Deponia: The Complete Journey

Great little point and click adventure

And Edna is not to bad either ...

http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/adventure-heroes-bundle/

Also has Edna&Harvey The Breakout and a couple more good little point and click adventures though the price is only worth it if you want a few games other wise it can be had on sale on steam for cheaper just for the one game.

Though if you do get the bundle you can maybe split the cost at

In the end i think you can not do wrong at least getting Deponia and adding the others in the next sale

I'd say go for Zanzarah (I mean, fairies goddammit), as it was a pretty awesome game back in its day, but the reviews say it's a bad port, so I'm not sure about it any more.

As for the others, the adventure games are a feast to the eyes for the most part, but from what little I've played with them, they play like any classic p&c game, complete with their stupid puzzles that don't always make sense. Stick with Wadjet Eye for that, they may not look as great but they're better in so many ways.
