You might be surprised at the number of people who are interested in those kind of games. I won Farming Simulator 2011 during christmas, I thought I'd trade it as a joke item but I got flooded with (seemingly) legit offers. Ended up trading it for The Orange Box.

Yea, I'd say 95% of those entries of those people that enter every single game entry. There should some kind of thing in place that tracks what you enter for. If you enter almost every single give away, you hit a "limit" perhaps and you can't enter another giveaway for X hours. Each time you do this, it gets longer. People are so sad, they must win something so desperately?

Funny, I seem to recall a thread about that very behavior here recently. If I recall correctly, the people doing that sort of thing, when confronted about their douchebaggery, had as their only defense something along the lines of: HERP DERP DEY SHUDNT GIV US PONTS!
While there is absolutely no logic backing this up, I have to agree that they definitely shouldn't receive points. Bans, perhaps, but not points.

Dont think theres a way to evade those. Considering the site is mostly to make the peoples game collections bigger and less about " giving a game to someone who would like it and play it". I noticed I entered a game I have no interest in and would not play, but it had only like 6-7 entries ( group giveaway), but then I told to myself " wtf am i doing?! "

Yeah, it's more of a, "In a perfect world," scenario, a pipe dream, if you will, and I realize that. I still don't enter for things I have no interest in playing. The closest I ever came was the other day when there was a private giveaway up with zero entries. It was for something I at least kind of wanted, though. It was almost over, and I entered just so it wouldn't be totally wasted, and someone else finally came along and entered in the last few minutes and I withdrew my entry. I disagree that giving people bigger collections in and of itself is the purpose of the site, though. If people weren't meant to play the games they win, I don't think the people responsible for making the site would have bothered in the first place. Kudos on restraining yourself from the temptation of entering a giveaway just because it has good odds, though. I do understand it. I, for one, am not interested in Skyrim (I know, I'm weird). One time, I came across a giveaway for it with a fairly small number of entries, though, and I was really tempted to enter if for no other reason than the hype, but I passed, because I really don't think it's my cup of tea. I'm sure whoever got it is having way more fun with it than I ever would.

Those groups are not official, nor are they linked with the site in any official capacity. I suspect that, were one to ask him, CG (the creator of the site) would explicitly state that that is not the intended purpose of the site, but without having him here to ask, I can neither prove nor disprove this assumption. That said, some people will find a way to misuse pretty much anything.

I've played through all of the Hard Truck games so far, aside from the terrorists in he 2nd one, they've all been a lot of fun.
Then again I play Train Sim 2012 as well - maybe I just enjoy operating heavy machinery. ;) Personally I find sorting and delivering cargo pretty relaxing.

If that's supposed to be directed at me, you clearly missed the point. What I said had nothing to do with this game, but with people who enter giveaways for things they don't actually want. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine.
Edit: In fact, going back over this thread, there are a lot of other people who were genuinely disparaging of the game. Why exactly you chose to single out one person who wasn't even talking about the game and vent your rage against them instead is a bit baffling.

Even if winning anything at all leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling or whatever, even for several hours, all that has changed in the end is that there is another game in the person's library that will never be played. The giveaway might as well not have even happened in the first place. Someone's money may as well have been flushed down the toilet. The net effect is the same as if no giveaway was ever made, hence, it is effectively the same. That's my reasoning.

I've had a few of the 18WOS games and they're not terrible - definitely a niche thing but something kinda cool about it
That said I have pretty much been over 'em but this one looks a lot better and for the price, yeah I'll take a shot at it
Besides that - I can't think of any reason it would bother you that a thousand people entered except that you're wanting it yourself..?
