Another sale, another cheap little hidden gems-hunting post!!

Good games under (Or around) one buck, - ver. Summer Sale 2025

Based on my table of 2024, I keep some of the more interesting deals. You can access all the other iterations here and here (and maybe also here), if you are curious of past deals.

I decided to put offers that caught my attention, or cheap games that I personally recommend.

As always, the rules are:

  • Games around 1 buck (please no more than 1.99)
  • They have to be worth buying (no game of the year or anything, obviously, but good in some aspect - This are all rated Positive and Up)
  • Doesn't matter if isn't an all time low.

I would add:

Everspace ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/396750/EVERSPACE/ ), a great roguelike arcade spaceflight/shooter.

Vaporum ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/629690/Vaporum/ ), a steampunk dungeon crawler similar to Legend of Grimrock/Dungeon Master/Eye of the Beholder.

Forgotton Anne ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/542050/Forgotton_Anne/ ), puzzle platformer with art similar to the style of Studio Ghibli.

It took me just a couple of seconds of looking at the store page to buy HER STORY. Thanks!

I heard that Deus Ex is a genre-defining masterpiece (the genre being "immersive sim"), so that would be my suggestion.

Bully Scholarship Edition is decidedly not around one buck

It's quite possible, because there is such a thing as regional prices. Here it costs 0.5 dollars now.

Yeah, I can see that. Your price is -91.63% vs my price, lol. Still it's not around one buck because in bucks it's $5.24

Interesting. It seems to me that Rockstar doesn't bother with the old prices and leaves them as they were at the beginning of the sale on Steam, but all their new ones are quite stingy for our region. I'll remove them from the list.

100% recommend Dark Messiah along with Ark Fatalis as well especially if you are a fan of Arkane's signature creations, what a fun gem..

I've got a couple deep cuts that I'll plug!

Isolomus - trippy, bite sized claymation point & click. $.49 USD. (check out Wurroom by the same dev - it's free!)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1459910/Isolomus/

Tametsi - Minesweeper / nonogram mashup with masterfully handcrafted levels. $.98 USD

Tametsi - Minesweeper / nonogram mashup with masterfully handcrafted levels. $.98 USD

I'll throw in the name of Hexcells, that people also may be familiar with, as the hexagon-based minesweeper with some extra rules.
Tametsi is like that, but on crack - it's still 100% logical, but hell of a lot more difficult, offering a solid challenge and will surely entertain for a long while for that price.

Valley (-88%) for $1.79
Exploration, platforming and some light combat! Very fun.

Blood and Bacon (-51%) for $0.49
First-person arena shooter! Quite a lot of content for its price.

Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi (-75%) for $0.74
Janky but an interesting FPS! Also bundled with Fobia

Will post more when I remember more stuff :D

Hello popocho,

Please remove the links that are under the games under $1 and $2 as they aren't allowed to be posted as they host grey market sites. This is just a warning, but please make sure not to repeat that again in the future, as next time action to be taken.

Picked up Van Helsing in the sale, wanted an ARPG cause I miss diablo and I could never really get into POE. Saw Grim Dawn mentioned a ton but can't afford that so it's for another day.
So far, really enjoying Van Helsing though!! Seems to be currently $1.49

Thought I would check my cart (throw a bunch of games in there at start of sale, then do some research and whittle them down), and sure enough I had a few cheapies in there!

My region is USA. Unsure about these prices in other regions.

Flashout 3 looks like a great Wipeout-style game. $1.99
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1761870/FLASHOUT_3/

Manahex is a weird one. It's a CCG, but all cards are given to you upon purchase (so no collecting, just playing). It's somewhat similar to Spirit Wars and Sorcery TCG, if you're familiar with either of those. $1.19
