Vikings (way better than GoT IMO), Hannibal (with Mads Mikkelsen, first few eps are boring but it's get really intresting later), Supernatural (great cast and humor), True Detective.

ah and speaking of some older ones, Twin Peaks is rather nice. but then again so is Playboy: Girls Next Door, so pick the one you like more. lol

Leverage is a good show.

Twin Peaks. (Dont watch Fire Walk with me before the show. It ruins everything story wise despite being a prequel)

• Continuum (very good sci-fi, gripping plot, lots of story arcs, just got done with 3rd season)
• The 100 (sci-fi, very gritty, good story, got done with s1 recently, lots of promise)
• Falling Skies (sci-fi, 3 seasons done, season 4 recently began again)
• The Blacklist (conspiracy, govnmt. / intelligence community type show)
• Workaholics (dumb, stupid fun comedy)

Those are "in the spotlight", but I had to recommend em.

As for stuff not in the spotlight:

• Black Books (3 seasons, hilarious show, everyone I showed this to loved it)
• Bored to Death (good writing, good performances, funny show, 3 seasons)
• Yonderland (1 season done, started watching this the other day, real funny)
• Hung (3 seasons, show got cancelled for some idiotic reason, very well written and acted comedy show with some serious moments thrown in, about a HS teacher who becomes a male prostitute due to his large member)
• Mr. Show (incredibly funny, surreal sketch comedy show from David Cross and Bob Odenkirk)

There's more but heck, I could just keep typing then.

The Fades, It was only one season and might be hard to find, but the show is nuts. I mean NUTS. They kill off 90% of the cast before the final episode.
