Actually kind of surprised there were still keys left since the bottom of the giveaway page says this: "The program will end when all keys are exhausted or on October 29th, 2017, whichever comes first."

wondered where all the giveaways were flooding in from - CV mining ahoy it seems for some people :)

Edit - appears not, as it was added "Zero contribution value since Aug 10, 2017", so no CV farming :) - thanks to kiselis for that

so it appears that people are just using all the keys to make giveaways here - rather than allowing other people the chance to grab a key from the website before they run out - sad panda :(

I actually saw someone saying that if you use two email addresses you can get both games - that seemed wrong to me though :(

Yeah it boggles my mind what people will do. I missed out on the free copy of Dark Souls from the golden joysticks just because as soon as the word free hits people descend like locusts and then often start bragging about how they snagged 7 copies. Shameful way for people to act.

Isn't it now considered 0 CV? Simply asking, not sure if the amount of the free key is big enough to consider it a free game on SG...

think it has to get added to a list somewhere first - but not sure :)

From the reply below it looks like it's been already added, hehe :D

yeah - just a bit sad to see that so many people have got a key and made a giveaway with it here - instead of allowing someone who wants a key the chance to get it from the website before they run out - all those people making giveaways mean less keys for someone to get it themselves from the website without having to use their points to enter for it here :(

but that is just my personal view on this situation :)

So true. On the other hand it's a chance for those that don't know about the website promo, or don't want to share their e-mail/make a throw-away one - to get it here. I had a lot of points just sitting there, now I finally got below 200 P ;)

fair point - different strokes for different folks - like I have paid more for a game on DIG marketplace because I had spare DIG points and did not want to buy a full bundle - all works out for someone I guess - it is just those keys run out sooo fast :)

As above - I agree with you, just wanted to show a lighter side of it ;)

But I can presume, some people that will win the game here will have no real interest in playing it, alas.

It says "Zero contribution value since Aug 10, 2017", so no CV farming :)

good to know - then why does it cost points to enter - do you know? - would have thought that it would now be 0p to enter - but I never was clear on the whole list system thing !

It adds 0 CV but the entry cost is linked to Steam API, no way to change it easily from what I understand.

Well all games have points value and it is up to the user who is entering GA to figure out where to spend them. Also it doesn't matter how you got a game, it is the same for point cost if it was full value, bundled aka "reduced contribution value" or free aka 0 CV :)

well to a point I guess - but if it didn't matter how you got a game then CG would not have created the free game list to prevent farming of the flood of games gotton from giveaways elsewhere - so clearly CG thought that it did matter where you got the game from (in his opinion of course) :)

It is important where you got the game for contribution, but not for point value. E.G. game costs 30 points once it gets out, it will cost 30 points if it gets bundled, so why should it cost less than that if it eventually gets free? Game will still have same price on steam and that is the only thing that determines point value. On the other hand number of GAs made will depend a lot of how you got the game. :)
