My contributor level has been 30$ for about a year. I gave away 3 more games this week, all have resolved. All have reported they received their gifts. My contributions remain at 30.. and I cant even enter the many $30.01 giveaways. Any ideas?

Because the bundle CV limit is $30, to gain more CV simply donate non-bundle games.

Makes you wonder if Steamgifts will ever give the contributor a warning message that they are giving a bundled game away and will only give X amount of contributor amount when people attempt to make giveaways.

Unlikely. Contributor value is being removed in the next site overhaul so I wouldn't expect any CV improvements leading up to that.

I hope there will be another way to filter leechers. :/

Yes. It has to be done manually, though.

You also have to love people manually, lol.

Yeah, it's not like there's a * on every bundle game in the list when creating a giveaway and a link right above that explains the calculation in details... oh wait, there is.

Notice that games with a * next to them in the list are considered as Bundled games and won't get you full CV.. the first 25$ will be considered non-bundled but after that they will be added only for 20% of your non-bundled games value. Basically you get a free pass for 30$ .. the rest will only count once you gave away non-bundled games and they will add 20% value to those.

Read the FAQs :)

Hmm.. I wonder how things go on school... Are you home schooled or you go to special school for special people. Im wondering, because you know and use this site for a year and haven't learned that much..

Hey, no need to be mean. If you do need to be mean though, make sure it's aimed at me so I can be a heat sink for insults.

Or a hate sink which is more puns, but aaauugh.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Here's my survival guide to Steamgifts:

Hi and welcome!
1 - install SteamGifts Plus. It will make your homepage here A LOT cleaner, leaving you more time to lurk around the forum. Install TamperMonkey for Chrome, then Steamgifts Plus for TamperMonkey.
2 - read the FAQ. It souns like a cliché, but you'll see: every day the same thread in the forum comes up 'cause someone forgot to take a quick look at it. :D
3 - have fun. :)

Wait just a second, you're right!

9.99 + 9.99 +2.99 + 9.99 + 9.99 + 9.99 + 9.99 + 4.99 ≠ 30.00

Who adds the giveaways up around here? I don't want anyone to lose their job, but I think it may be time to hire someone new!

I can add, and would be willing to negotiate a fair wage, if you're looking.

I don't understand why people are so hard up for CV. Quit giving away games you got in a bunch for $1 and all would be well for your CV if you are so hard up.

thats what 99% of the community does though, the other 1% are all private giveaways/group giveaways with like 4 entries, which is basically game swapping.

If you look at this comment closely, you can determine he is talking about 100% of sg members.

What did I tell you, mathed that real good!

Most private giveaways are just set up in a way that only the people who are actually active in the forum will find them. If you look at my profile I have a running private giveaway with 80 entries already. Another one I made recently reached 276 entries. Heck, I have a group giveaway with 1035 entries. That's hardly game swapping. It simply gives better odds for those who take the time to be active on the forums instead of entering everything in sight on the front page and leaving.
