Yay for faster internet. Your new speed is the same I have in theory but since my $Β°@%! ISP throttles speed so that all the idiots can watch their tv, I only get it at night. Eh it's fine I never sleep anyway

I recently had the experience of going the other direction: moving from a place with 200 Mbps speed to a place with 1.5 Mbps DSL... kill me now...

Congrats, as former ADSL user with 1 Mbit up to 4 Mbit speed i understand perfectly how terrible that connection really are, downloading one game for multiple nights et cetera. Now i am on 100 Mbit and only problem is need of extra HDD haha.

Even in the previous condition, your ping was low and download speed was moderately good in my view..

One of the ISPs decided to start upgrading all house lines to fiber optic around my area this month. I'm currently on a 25/5 (read: 20/2.5) BUT one other ISP does have a half tempting promo for 150/15 for double the price... (~ $50 usd per month), but really I'm not a streamer nor 4k user so I'm actually fine with what I have. And I bet once that optic fiber network has been set up around my area, I'm going to get lots of offer ads for it.

I have a 50Mbps DL speed but the latency is not that good. Pretty crappy lines, even on VDSL.

So today we got a new Internet connection and it is just so much faster than the old one. Here in Germany we still have ridiculously slow Internet especially in the rural areas so the new connection is actually pretty good in comparison to the rest.
