Hello, first of all sorry for my english.

So, I'm interested in to know how much games peoples have in Steam library and how much of them games were bought on Steam Market. It cannot be used in poll, write it into comment please.

I have 682 games and 17 only been bought on Steam Market.
Why? 95% games can be found much chepaer than market.

(you can found it in account details and CTRL + F and seach "steam store")

Another question in poll, which "market" you prefer to buy Steam games and why? (comments)

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II any leftover lvl 3+

I didn't know about Bundle sites before, according to my steam account I have purchased 94 games from Steam Store. The Rest is Bundle sites, or other retailers. One of my favourites has to be Nuuvem...

The majority of my games come from bundles, of the non-bundled games that I bought for myself, I would say half are from Steam (cuz Steam wallet is better than spending cash) and the other half are from other stores (when prices are significantly better than Steam pricing)

I haven't spend a single cent on a Steam Market and got all my 200 games through trading items in TF2 and then exchanging TF2 Keys for games.

I have 1938 games. Only 29 were bought directly from the steam store ;p

Actually I buy from, Steamstore, Bundle sites (bundles and single games), grey market (and no I had no problem with anything I bought at those) and official sellers

610 games owned on steam, about 1/4 are bought on steam

2715 games, 201 bought directly from Steam.

Lots and lots and lots of bundles and quite a few from official sellers (comfortably more than I've bought off Steam, I'd guess). I don't really do the grey market, traded for 50-100.

2715/201 i mean 201 is lot with steam price :) steam is comfortable, yes. But i rather save any money and buy bundle / grey. Never been any problem with these games :) trading is good too

yeah I dunno either...maybe they use search in the "Licenses and subscriptions" page, dunno?

Yeah I was sad enough to do that. Ctrl+f, search for Steam Store. Still had to make sure I didn't count certain keys that are listed as "Steam Store and Retail key" even then, as the search picked them up as well.

exactly. copy the account details page to a text editor. delete all occurences of "Steam Store and Retail Key". Then let the editor count all occurences of "Steam Store" - there you have it.

Oh it was said before, nice! You cant also just rest the two numbers

go to Account Data in Steam client, ctrl+f -> steam store -> it will count how many games you bought from store :D:

yeah that's what I though...that shows dlc's as well though

well depending on how many you got from there it can be fast looked through to discount the DLCs ;) at least it was for me, as to my surprise i only bought something directly from steam store (not as a gift) 31 times :D:

for me the amount is 1037/4010 (26%), so you can see why I don't feel like removing the dlc's :D

as said above, with this method you will also count "Steam Store and Retail Key". so copy the text over to an editor and delete those strings first. :)

ahh, I am currently on website client and have it in polish, so didn't have that problem, because in polish it reads "Prezent/klucz tymczasowy" and Steam Store is "Sklep Steam" :>

i am not even sure, how those strings are translated to german. changed the language to english years ago. ^^

I have client set to english as well, much easier for market use and searching for achievment guides ;) But my browser sets back Steam language back to Polish every time I clear cookies and stored data, which is a lot, so I just gave up switching it back to english every single time ;)

unfortunately automatic count may be a little distorted as shown below:
The LEGO Movie Videogame Steam Store and Retail Key Retail

In my case it will be about half of games so i bought about 50 games at steam store
(it gives food for thought as i have almost 1,5k games)

then just exclude these somewhere before searching, as entioned by KA here: http://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/vWCfojl :>

for me it wasn't an issue as in my language version it doesn't say "Steam Store and Retail Key Retail" ;p

that's what you get when you open few topics at once and reply without refreshing in one :)
well i had a good guess - 54 from steam store
(btw i've changed native language to english cos of better market item search:)

I have client in english as well, but I was searching in browser-client and it keeps changing language back to polish based on geolocation every time I clear cookies, which means quite often ;)

since you apologised for your english, let me just nicely correct you - you buy games from steam store, not steam market. :)

on topic - i got 54 (roughly 4%) of my games from steam, rest are all retail or other keys :)

my only text editors are wordpad and notepad, so I dunno how to count text occurrences. However, you can just search for "Steam Store and retail key" first and then substract that amount from the total

in notepad you can quickly edit things out (ctrl+h)
then copypaste it to your browser (for example to pastebin) and use built in search - at least Firefox counts occurences:>

I think it's fastest to first search for "steam store and retail" (86) in my case, and substract that from the total of "steam stores"

606 games total, 46 of which bought on steam, a lot more than i expected but then again recently ive been getting free coupons off dumpster groups and getting games for around £0.25 ($0.40) each, sell the cards, make your money back it's win-win :) Though looking back I only had 81 games on the 1st Jan, now five months 9 days later i've acquired 525 more, thats approx 3.3 games a day.... save me Tom Cruise!

My 2 main sources for games other than the obvious Steam Store:
1.) Reddit (/r/indiegameswap & /r/steamgameswap) - Trade cards, TF2 & CS:GO keys for games
2.) TremorGames - Do video offers for coins to purchase games that I want
Edit: I have 406 games on Steam and from that, I've probably purchased around 50 games directly from the Steam Store.

as for sources of games:
My main source are GiveAways :D: about half of my library comes from these.
Then there's bundles.
Before region locks 3rd would be trading, now it's official resellers (Nuuvem for cheap deals, GMG for using PF rewards credit)
I never go to G2A, Kinguin etc.

The full price games were Shovel Knight, Stranded Deep & Castle in the Darkness. It was worth it for me, I am very satisfied with all 3 and they rarely go on sale anyways.

According to my history I've bought 17 games out of 300 directly from Steam, mostly when ridiculously discounted. I have 26 bucks in my steam wallet prepared for summer sale, but I doubt I'm going to spend it all, since I will only buy stuff from my wishlist that is 80%+ off.
