I haven't heard any bad things about Desura... but I havent heard any good things either. Don't really need a second gaming platform installed, so I'm with ya.

Desura has a much better mod selection and system than steam, other than that it does everything just as good in my opinion... except there is no instant messaging.

regardless its much better than origin...

also most games on Desura can be moved around onto flash drives or dvds and dont require desura to be installed to run... basically drm free.

Desura also offers games still in developtment while Steam will only accept finished games. It's much more friendly to indie developers and that's where Desura has found it's niche.

that is slowly changing... look at the Alpha games being released on Steam, Endless Space for one, SotS2 for another....{<>.<>}

They are pretty different, if you like indies and mods Desura is auite nice. One thing I prefer in their store over Steam's is actual store page with commentaries from users.

Correct. I got this only for Drains, that one looks interesting enough.

I'll get for Tesla. Seems fun, and also is a friend's recurrent joke.

Bunping this with a few thoughts on the games themselves...

ICHI - It's an alright puzzle game, not much to say about it. You could get this from the latest Indie Royale as well. I kinda liked it and then it introduced that drawing thing into the gameplay... at which point it became really hectic and awesome :D

48 chambers - a pretty punishing action game in which you maneuver a dot around spikes, bullets and other stuff collecting other dots. Sounds simple, and it is simple. It's god hard, I might be having problems finishing it, even on the easiest setting. Pretty cool game.

Clone Wolf - I didn't like it that much. First, the cloning ability felt a bit gimmicky. Then it became a vital part of the gameplay and the game became really hard to focus on. Like, REALLY hard. Worst thing is, there was a very similar 2D tower defense game in the 99 percent bundle (pay what you want, 0 minimum; it's on indievania) and it was so much better, well, until that one gravity-altering level, that is. Sorry, forgot that other game's title right now...

Tesla - God, this is hilarious. I could finally laugh out loud on a game, which doesn't happen too much anyways. The game is hilarious and the platforming and combat elements are awesome enough to keep you playing. Hopefully it won't ever get repetitive. I love the "ghetto" presentation of the story, it is insane. Highly recommending this bundle for only this game.

Drains - sadly, the one game I got this for doesn't seem to run on this PC. It loads up the menu just fine, but upon starting a new game it crashes. Doesn't sound like anything unfixable as the menu actually uses the graphic engine, but still, great bummer :(

Anyway, closing thoughts: get this one, it's awesome, Desura or not.

Second Bonus is near, it's 3 games. And is just 500 sells. I'd be sad for both parts if it's not achieved.
