Doom & Destiny Advanced is a brand new adventure. It's a stand alone game, set in the Doom & Destiny universe. In short, it means that you don’t need to play the first Do&De, but if you did, you’ll enjoy the wacky world and funny characters even more!

do these 3 games have the stories connected? if so there is no point in playing just one/two

As I recall, D&DA is considered a reboot of the original (rather than a sequel), with expanded class options, original art [versus RPGMaker standard art], and similar updates. I believe the only overlaps with the original game are some light nods to the first game. Conversely, the narrative is redone for D&DA and seems to be considered as being worse than the original game.

As for D&DW, I believe that's set in the same setting, but has no overlaps beyond that, being a co-op survival game(?) spinoff of the main game and its reboot. It's also a DLC-based game, so do make sure to consider those (and the additional costs they bring) before considering D&DW.

So in theory, assuming I recall everything right (and it's been ages since these games were [eg, bundle] relevant here on SG, so take it with a pinch of salt), there's no meaningful connection between any of the games. That said, the first game is much better considered than the latter two, so it's more recommendable to begin with, meaning that you'd likely want to start there anyway (and then check the reviews for each subsequent game to look for specific differences from the first game, and see if they're ones you'd consider game-ruining).

On the other hand, one should note that D&D is from back in the day when we were starved for RPG content on Steam and casual RPGMaker games got treated a lot more favorably than they do now, so it's hard to say (as someone who hasn't played the games) how well its positive reviews have actually aged. Especially so given that it's considered a very standard/grindy JRPG in its gameplay, and doesn't seem to have done anything especially innovative in breaking from the default RPGMaker framework (as many, many other RPGMaker games have done), and seems to have the same single annoying music track for every single combat.

It may help to look up some gameplay videos and take a look specifically at the more recent reviews for the game(s), before deciding on getting any of the games.

I think this should include a poll with at least one option "I entered looking for Doom and Doom Eternal"

Given World's nature and age, that's not going to be for a long time. Nevermind that none of World's many DLCs or its season pass are currently included in the bundle, so waiting may not actually help you any there. Given how different the games are, and that you can always benefit from the bundle discount later on anyway, it'd probably be better to approach the games individually (thereby having the added benefit of being able to figure out if you even want the other games, before comitting to buying them).

From the IOS page: "Doom & Destiny Advanced is the sequel, prequel and reboot of Doom & Destiny. This might sound crazy, but in short, it means that you don’t need to play the first Do&De, but if you did, you’ll enjoy the wacky world and funny characters even more!"

I have the first but will probably go ahead and buy and just play the Advanced version, if only for the improved, non-RPGMaker graphics.
