visual novel, real time strategy, horror, moba and beat 'em up
most of scifi games i don't like either, but some of them are really good. so no instant hide :)
"Precision Puzzle Platformer"
Any MOBA at all, really.
Indie game (90% of them)
any game under 5$ base cost and are new games
any minecraft look games (squares and pixels) we are in 2017 not 1990.
and a long list that i'm to tired for write it
none, but im going to pretend its because it seems effort not because i actually had no idea how to til 10 seconds ago when i worked out what icon i was meant to click. actually it still seems like effort.
I don't hide giveaways because I only search off of the wishlist page. When I'm browsing Steam, though, I skip by fast with tags like bullet hell, FPS, MMO, roguelikes, racing games, multiplayer, and VR-based games. If a game is visually unappealing (whether the art is ugly or everything is brown and grey) it similarly gets passed over.
lmaoing so hard, here
VR in the name is usually an instant-hide. Also those games with really cheap looking thumbnails. You know the ones.
I blacklist every game that icaio plays
"Time Manipulation" (if it's the kind where you interact with your past self, like in Gateways, which has the tag, and The Talos Principle, which doesn't -- things like SUPERHOT are fine)
on steam: "horror" "sex" "sexual content" or "survival"
tbh i like horror games but i normaly dont like to play them^^
and as i´m to lazy to check every single game, mostlikely coming from trashgala, i also hide most games with less then 10 points (only if i know the name as a game i like, i will not hide it) and when the game is giving away in high quantity (10 or more) as its most likely trash as well^^
"Hentai" - Or anything marked as anime that contains sexual content.
and I think a lot of people do confuse anime with hentai to be honest. There are quite a few JRPG's that are decent.
well, I rarely act "instantly", but mostly it's "sandbox" and/or "survival".
Oh, totally forgot about one more. That one is instant hide. "DLC (or pack) that you already have" XD
i dislike this "kickstarter" thing more each day. for every 50 ea games released, only 1-3 are decent and the developer finishes them.
the list of abandoned and perma-ea titles is endless.
Oh yeah. This is pretty disgusting. A game shouldn't even be allowed to enter early access until it's pretty much ready or near ready for beta testing of a complete game. (In other words, a completed Alpha stage) It's being exploited here and there imo.
• Titles with nouns writting in lowercase (dead giveaway for Asset Flips)
• "Russian something"
• Trying too hard baitgames - Trump/Putin/Gay etc.
• Titles where the preview picture is in the wrong aspect ratio (another dead giveaway)
• Casual games (most)
• Old RPGs because I will never finish them anyway...
Yes, I hide a lot :)
Mostly every ugly "Titles where the preview picture is in the wrong aspect ratio", as said above, before any ( Zombies-VR-Hentai-Match3-Achievements-Clickers-Whatever... ) keywords...
...But also every DLC's ( and even some full games. ) I already own, which still appears despites everythings. :/ Why ?
Fighting / Shooting / PVP / VR / Sports / Basically anything that has combat in it or any form of action.
and any inappropriate games.
White Trash (a name of a really bad dev)
For all other i take a look or two to decide
By VR, Early Access (and not updated since years) and Platfromers the chances to get hidden are higher then for the rest
