Solution to an old puzzle and a new giveaway

I told people that I would post the solution for the extremely long puzzle I made an extremely long time ago.

Here is the solution and hopefully some of the steps can be used to inspire future puzzle makers.

Also just to add insult to injury... I added a giveaway into the solution. Use everything I have supplied and you will find it. Note it ends it 5 days and the prize is A Valley Without Wind. It is relatively easy and does not involve too much puzzling.

And just to add insult to injury... I added a giveaway in the contest. So basically I heard you like puzzle giveaways so I added a puzzle to your puzzle so you can puzzle while you puzzle. It ends in 5 days.
