How's Shift 2?

I have seen IGN and GameSpot reviews on the game, would you agree with one over the other. If you have't seen the reviews what is your take about the game? I have Shift 1, is it any better to a point of buying it? It is the week deal of course, so that is why I am asking.

Joholz may I ask what you thought of Shift 1 , how was it? any different than the other previous NFS games? (Is it worth the $5?) Sorry for hijacking your thread.

My opinion: the best NFS since Porsche Unleashed. I hate arcade racing games, so I really disliked everything between Underground 1/2 (played it just for the customization part of the game) and Shift. Shift isn't a sim of course, but at least it had proper racing tracks, first person cam and somewhat realistic car physics.

Shift 2 is better than Shift, more traction and overall more pleasant driving experience. I didn't get that far in the game though, so my opinion is based on sub 300 hp vehicles.
