Step 1 can be solved by 2 different ways. They give the same result but one of them is relatively easy.

Hint #1: The code you have to find in the table contains 12 elements (one for each line of the text). Each line gives you a coordinate.

Hmmm... I decoded the table and managed to get some sense out of that image, but then I failed the next, last (?), crucial step!!!

Decoded the table, the path on the image is working, got the code which contains 5 characters, but it isn't working as giveaway code. :/

I'm sort of stumped.
I found out there is pretty much a single path through the image (although it has a double pathway at a couple of points), and there are two options to pick a starting case, which gives just about 8 code options, yet none of them worked for me.
I'm not sure, if i can go, say, from C4 to D3 directly. Can I?

It could start anywhere, which is why without the code you won't have any success. And yes, you can go from C4 to D3 using the Caps button as a passthrough.

Well, the first of the 12 steps actually clearly points out the start button, but the case leaves 2 options.
So, passing like that pushes that button, right?

So I took the road less traveled by.
And I barely made it out alive.
Through the darkness somehow I survived.
Though love, I knew it from the start.

The first letter of each line and the number of the line formed a coordinate. Here are all the coordinates and their correspondent elements:
(0, S) - B1
(1, A) - B0
(2, T) - D5
(3, T) - EF
(4, D) - A3
(0, O) - A8
(1, L) - C5
(2, N) - D1
(3, I) - D2
(4, A) - D3
(0, I) - D4
(1, R) - C3
Removing the ".png" from the image URL and converting the numbers in the image description from Hexadecimal to Text also resulted in the same path. This was the second method to get the code.
