I don't care much for an extreme (more expensive) or a few extra fps (anything is better then the GT 430 i have now) most important for me is for it to be quiet (i am hypersensitive to it) and this supposedly is one of the quietest.
Also MSI motherboard.

Most of those editions are somewhat crap or completely overpriced (at least where I live). Moreover, as I've already said, if you are not willing to experiment and take parts apart I don't see why you need watercooling.
IMO, water is for people that know a thing or two. If you can barely build a PC by yourself, then I'd suggest that you stay away from it whether it's an AIO, CLC or w/e else. If you want it to reduce noise, then get a case with a good airflow and adjust the power target and fan speed of your card . Buying watercooling simply for the noise is somewhat not worth it, unless of course you've got the money to spare.

I completely understand your thought process. I just don't agree with watercooling in general when someone has completely zero knowledge on the subject. Whether it is preinstalled AIO, aftermarket one or CLC. Even thought I've got to admit, the AIO made watercooling more newbie friendly, but still.
I'd say that watercooling in general is not that worth it, unless you know what you wanna do with it. It still remains expensive compared to traditional means of cooling.

I don't know about in your country specifically, but with the current RAM and GPU market, pre-builts are sometmes going for cheaper than you can get the parts yourself to make the same thing.

Hi Lugum. Thank you for the GA. I have a 1060 6GB and I have no complaints so far. Good luck with your new PC.

Just have this in mind: whenever you upgrade a new part will find it's way out soon and make your shiny purchase "obsolete" (NOT)
Best advice: Upgrade if you need (really old parts, no parts at all)
Never wait for a new update cycle unless it's really, really close to come out. I'm personally waiting for Volta, I don't think they are close to coming out but I got a 980, upgrading to a 1080TI specially when they are going for more than MSR right now its not really a good idea.
Like someone said 1080Ti might be a bit of an overkill without an appropiate monitor, might be good for futureproof and with DSR you could still use quite a bit of its power.
Enjoy :)

Who knows what a Volta will go for and how long it takes, with miners on it these days. I am already over budget, i am not planning to go even higher. And with these kind of things you can always wait, wait, but i want a pc now.
I am coming from a 7-10 year old pc with a Geforce 430, there is not much left to upgrade on this one.
Cheers.

The price of video cards will come down eventually. Production and specialization will catch up to the miners' demands.
You'll get more enjoyment now and save money by buying a nice monitor and a less expensive video card. Even a 1070 will save you bucks and is sufficient for all your 1080p gaming needs.
The 1080Ti is a waste of money now for two reasons: 1) Without a more than 1080p monitor, you will just have more power than you can use, and 2) You will waste money now when you can get a great card for more reasonable prices later on.

I got a 1 year old 24 inch monitor, if i want to get another one, i would really want a big one or even 3, but that cost so much money, same as i would want VR (bigger is better there), so a 1080 TI could/will be useful, just not for the time being.
And VR would probably go before a new monitor, but i need to save up after this, and i won't start thinking about either till atleast september or later.
A 1080 TI would hopefully last some years, and one can always skip a few and buy a 1280 or something by that time.
My thing is with graphic cards, there will always be a new one around the corner, not like if i wait on the next one, there won't be another one. That's my logic on it, but Aseed doesn't understand it either. :p

Not that crazy. :p
I wouldn't restrict myself, plenty of indie games too that are just as fun, i'd probably spend alot of time in VR games, but not planning on getting a set soon, but atleast i'd be pc ready.
Being able to play certain games like World of Final Fantasy, FF12 and 15 would be nice.

I thought about it sometimes, but think it might ruin the fun of enjoying a game, and so many people with a channel already, most that barely get views. who knows how much extra work for like a handfull of viewers.
I'd got plenty of games that others aren't focusing as much on though maybe.

Decisions, decisions. Making a choice can be harder than one thinks. :-)
One thing is for sure: a 1080 Ti has a lot of muscle. I would prefer an EVGA one but that's just because of my own experiences.

That sounds so similar when I do an upgrade or buy a new computer. I have some total price number in my mind but I always manage to go over that number. :-)
I didn't know that about that EVGA danger as I only read and lookup reviews and forums if I need an upgrade or a new computer.

melting vrm on evga cards has been fixed a long time ago. no need to worry unless you get a used card from somebody who didn't bother with any of that fixing.

As long as you feel good about the purchase, price is immaterial.

You go for it, you deserve it!
Have the prices of GPU's gone down a bit, or are they still throught the roof because of the Bitcoin mining?
Pretty soon I have to start thinking about upgrading my own rig.......
Altho.......it is becoming more and more a potato........
It used to be a rig, af ew years back, but now........
LOL, still love my potato!

It's even worst on amazon.es, when you only find GPUs from external vendors at prices 300% increased.
Insert 'vaya mierda de ernesto sevilla' gif.
Or the video, something good can happens with this: vaya mierda

I feel your pain. I've been saving up the money for a new card, myself, but the bitcoin miners have driven up the prices on the cards that should be in the "sweet spot." I don't think prices are going to drop back to normal until the next generation comes out and the miners move on to "the next big thing." (

Every day i keep looking at the store page for my new pc, and every time i am telling myself "for a few bucks more" i can get something even better, especially with the graphic card department and it's gonna be way way more then i planned. But i don't drink, smoke and haven't got much else so i am going to do it, get a geforce 1080 ti. First going to order my pc itself, with all the other parts next month, then work another month and get the card seperately.
