Basically seems like a sneaky way to bump up your gift value on your main account.

I thought you didn't actually win if for some reason you are the only person to enter a giveaway?
Also the other comment could've been the creator replying to them or a 3rd person who chose not to enter.

maybe was just a test, of some sorts?

My thought would be, what would be the point of "padding" your win count aside from the "e-peen"?

1-entry giveaways don't count for anything, i have one on my profile and you can clearly see that it does NOT pad any stats.
