You can do your own research on /r/steamgameswap, steamtrades, tf2outpost, etc.
Both games you are talking about trade ~1.5-2 keys probably. However, if you actually do go through with the trade, make sure that the Trine 2 copy is actually the Complete Story. Old vanilla Trine 2 copies also say that they are "Complete Story" but they don't actually include the Goblin DLC pack. There was some distinguishing mark, but I forgot what it was. You'll have to look that up.

I had to edit in something so he wouldn't get scammed.

I wouldn't rely on tf2outpost too much, because most people there lowball as much as they can and it gets ridiculous at times, though you can still refer to a few of the trades there.
imo in terms of raw value the trine 2 complete story (make sure it's complete story) is higher than witcher, though if you are looking to resell the trine 2 for tf2 keys that can take a lot of time and effort and on top of that most people will be waiting for steam sales where the game can go for 75% off (=4.99 USD) which is only around 2 keys
but that's just my perspective

If I trade on tf2op, I set down a key price and say that it's firm. Some people will try haggling, but I will always get within 1/2 key of what I asked for.

I've found that the trick to using TF2outpost to figure out what something's worth is to look at both what people are buying it for and what they're selling it for. You'll find plenty of highballers overcharging for it, and lowballers offering less than it's worth. The real value is somewhere in between those two. :P

It was probably vanilla Trine 2, not actually Complete Story (although the gift is still labeled Complete Story).

Is there a region cheaper than Russia for Trine 2? Keys were only worth like $1.50 during that 85% off sale, I can't see traders earning anything off of that o.o

both 1,5-2 keys. These are no games you can make profit with, better play it yourself.

So, I got The Witcher: Enhanced Edition in a trade earlier, and I realized that I finally have a game that I can trade for a couple of TF2 keys. However, someone else also offered me Trine 2 Complete Story for The Witcher.
I've never traded games for keys before, so I thought I'd ask the advice of the good people of Steam Gifts: how many keys could I potentially earn from The Witcher and Trine 2? At last check, I saw that crate keys were selling for $2.07 USD on Market, if that helps with determining prices. Thanks for the help!
