On another giveaway site, I had entered some contests. Well, I got a random Steam friend invite and figured I must have won one of them. I was in the middle of something so it took me a few minutes to add them. So I finally do and say to them "Hello, who is this?"

The guy basically says "Sorry, I was going to give you a game from a random giveaway, but then I looked through your posting history and decided that you said something that I didn't like at some point, so now I'm going to give the prize to someone else. Bye."

So I'm like "Wait, WTF? What post are you even talking about?" He wouldn't tell me though. And then he removed me from his friend list.

Like... I don't even care about the game anymore. I don't even know which contest it was. But come on, if you're gonna do a giveaway with a random winner, don't freakin' back out of your initial random choice just because someone said something you didn't like. And heck, if you do, at least have the courtesy to tell them what it was.

Yeah! PSO2 rocks.

Also I sent him a PM on that site and outright asked him "What post was it that seems to have pissed you have so bad?" but all he does is dance around the issue. He refuses to say which one.

Given most of the reroll requests along that sort of line, I can pretty much guarantee that you would be denied.

But I had never spoken to him before. Not that I know of anyway. I looked through his posting history and he doesn't seem to post to any of the giveaway forums on the site (or any other one that I visit), so the only thing I can imagine at this point is that he saw a contest entry I made at some point and didn't win, and he decided to gift it to me.

I'm very confused about the whole thing. I asked him to just explain it, to just point out what post it was that he didn't like, but he keeps beating around the bush and avoiding telling me.

Honestly I would check with any FAQ or T&C I would assume there would be rules against stuff like that, whether someone is rude or not you would figure it would need to be quite large circumstances to be able to deny someone a gift. I would probably assume that you could only deny people before someone was chosen not after. He probably just wanted to keep the game :P lol.

I find it quite normal when you want to give a game away to a person, but that person isn't even friendly towards people, to cancel it, we are human beings, not computers without feelings. Or he saw that you joined Steamgifts the first day to only participate in giveaways, not because you wanted to give away a game yourself.
