Might want to take a look at the PriceSpy link, the cost is roughly $100 more than the Core and do be a bit cautious about some of the displayed stores websites legitimacy.
I picked up a Logitech G610 Orion Brown about three months ago, tactile and durable. Dedicated media keys and volume control as well. Though there's no RGB lighting if your into that thing.

depends on what are you looking for, both brands are not reliable in the mechanical keyboard brand but at least it's not Razer.
What switches are you looking for? Tactile? Clicky? Linear?
Do you require macros or not?
Do you need Full Size? Tenkeyless? 60%?
Do you require backlighting or ok with none?

I am thinking of getting the Ducky Year of the Monkey, but its so expensive in NZ.

You mean more expensive than anywhere else ? Because this one in particular is a limited edition and it's pricey regardless of where you live.
What about their new Shine 6 ? (There's a black version, without those floating keycap)
One thing i really like about it, is that the software is optionnal. I got a Corsair mouse recently and i can tell you their software (CUE) is really buggy, check it out before you consider going for them.
Or maybe Cooler Master with their Masterkeys Pro if you want to stay with a mainstream brand, i heard good things about them.

The Corsair ones seem to be extremely durable. I own the K70 (original one), and I can tell from experience that it is built like a tank.
However, it comes down to what features you really think you need. Backlight, macro keys, specific type of keys, keyboard size etc. I'd suggest you stay away from Razer, as their stuff in general are not the most durable ones.

cooler master masterkeys pro L (full size keyboard) pro M (arrows and navigation buttons mixed into numpad) or pro S (no numpad)
they got cherry mx brown switches (like reds but tactile) and white/rgb leds (white has no software)
got the pro M last month, pretty good keyboard

The K70 Rapidfire Cherry MX Speed will be my next keyboard, just waiting on a good deal.

Like a lot of people have already done on this forum I'm also gonna recommend Corsair's keyboards. I got the K70 LUX RGB, and even though I've only owned it for a couple of weeks or so I must say I'm pretty happy with it. I got mine in Cherry MX Browns, and from what I can tell after my testing different switches they are those closest in feel to the Romer-G switches you are used to from your Logitech.
If you do have the money and really want something like the ROG Claymore or Corsair K95 Platinum than go for it. Just make sure you ask yourself if you will really take advantage of those features like macro keys or the swappable numpad, cuz I was leaning toward those keyboards myself at one time.

It depends what you like in keyboards - I had Corsair Vengeance K70 (Performance) and it was excellent, but cherry mx red switches were impossible to write on in long-run, and I code a lot (ASF/ArchiBoT) so I had to switch to something different.
Now I'm on CMStorm QuickFire RAPID-I and I love my cherry mx browns, while the lack of numpad is marvelous - I didn't expect to be that happy from that tiny bit of extra space, it matters a lot now.
Oh yeah, and extra points for being able to load it with custom firmware, so you can play snake or code ASF like a pro, although I was just testing quickly-written stuff and nothing too serious.
Personally I recommend something with no numpad, maybe it's just my new fetish but I wouldn't want that crap in my keyboard anymore since I got used to my CMStorm. Also be careful when deciding about cherry mx switches - reds are typically only good if you play FPSes like CS:GO a lot and you're not doing anything else, definitely you do not write a lot or play other games. If you do, browns are excellent balance between playing/writing, and are more or less universal. Reds are overrated, I hated my reds back then for being too soft, too linear and no tactile feedback, browns solved all those 3 problems.

I use my numpad a fair bit, so ill definitely be needing a keyboard with a numpad.

Corsair Vengeance K70. I love the dedicated multimedia keys and the volume wheel.

My down arrow key is messed up. If I push it, theres a chance it can have a spaz attack and keep going down.
Right now, trying to find a new keyboard. I could always go with another Logitech G810, but sometimes I like to try something new.
I'm looking at the ASUS ROG Claymore, but cant find any shops in NZ that sells it, apart from the core.
Any recommendations?
