Uninstall Steam client. Best not to have non-working (useless) programs installed.

I had the same issue yesterday and I'm having the same issue now. They messed something up.

Also, if I activate a new key the game won't appear in my library until I restart Steam. What the hell is that? Steam, you start sucking big time.
