It's dumbed down for consoles. Which is why everyone hates it.
Not to mention they 'forgot' to finish one of the races and serious balance issues.

this might be true. Amazon is usually nice, at least in this department. They messed up somehow around Christmas giving Dead Space 2 keys, so they reissued all of them just in case the first ones didn't work. Mine did, so I got another one to give to a currently former friend.

"UPDATE 10/15 8:16PM PST: Apparently the keys for Supreme Commander 2 we got from Square are actually activating Supreme Commander 1. I am now going to pull the buy box and email Square. I'll update again when I have more information. This panda is sad.

Same dev, but different publisher. And publishers are the ones that provide the keys. So its very, very odd.

I bought SupCom: Forged Alliance for ~$3 from Amazon earlier this year. When I activated it it was SupCom + SupCom FA! They should have it for that price again at some point

I ended up getting Supreme Commander 2... which I don't need since I don't think I can even play it...

UPDATE: I called Amazon Support. They gave me another product key. It was also for Supreme Commander 1 (duplicate product.... i'm thinking giveaway? :D)

They told me that when Supreme Commander 2 as a standalone game came back in stock they'd give me a promo code to get it free.

Seems to be the new batch of keys... I got SC2 fine when I bought the pack hours after it's released before the keys "ran out". I guess Square accidentally reloaded Amazon with SC1 keys rather than SC2, lol!

So anyone knows which batches of keys are affected? I bought it in the second batch (right after it became unavailable the first time) would that be a sc1 key then? (cannot test it as i bought supcom2 on steam already would loose the key if it were a valid sc2)

I am wary about this as someone told me that this is not possible if you bought the game in the steam store and then try to activate a key for it.

I had 2x keys given in Be Mine bundle 3 from Groupees, for Avencast. I loaded the first one, then realised a week later they had given me a second key. I couldn't tell which was the one I had used. I tried inputting both into steam, to see if 'duplicate' key would come up.. but if you already have the game, it just says 'already installed, play the game?'. I gave away my second key last week and no issues.. so testing the keys does not invalidate, as long as you actually have it on your account.. otherwise then of course it will add it to your account instead of 'testing' it.
