Good luck if you traded for one. You need proof of purchase to get it back.

I might be mistaken but I think it's old news.

Not really, if you read what armchair lawyer/FBI agent/MI6 agent posted. It's hilarious.

This happened a week ago. 7,000 keys were stolen from one of their publishers and resold to countless key resale shops. Since they never received payment on a single key, they revoked them all. Resale shops are responsible for refunding you since they sold you stolen games.

Normally I'd agree with this stand, but I get the feeling he doesn't know GMG and Gamersgate keys are getting revoked as well. Which makes the whole thing not limited to unauthorized key seller. Which in turn changes the "our keys were stolen so we have to revoke them" argument a little iffy at best.

Atleast GMG released statement saying their keys weren't revoked... Don't know if that statement was redacted later.

What TotalBiscuit said totally applies in the case of GMG and GG. Assuming that the company bought the keys from Rebellion, the company can ask for new keys from Rebellion to replace any that were revoked. As TB said, any customer of GMG or GG has the right to address his or her problem to the retailer who can (and should) deal with the customer effectively.

This is how business is done in most countries. If you are sold stolen goods, the goods go away and you complain to the person who sold them to you, not the manufacturer.

Were they? Or were just people lying about that to make producer look bad? Also, I had bad/invalid keys on GMG before, and they were always replaced by customer service. At least with legitimate seller you will get something back.

Did you find any evidence that actually happened? Until that is found, GMG's statement is what I believe.

Hmm didn't realize GMG actually released a statement. If that's the case then I'd say those who bought them keys using resellers had it coming to them.

Hey, have you heard about this SOPA thing? We should sing a petition or something. I just thought I'd mention this since we're talking about recent stuff...

Nah. Its your guys fault that you got the keys from resellers. Always know that their is a risk when you get these keys from reselling websites.

I saw someone selling this for $25. And another guy tried to offload this to me for some cheap ass indie game.
