Can't stand it. But I can stand very few pop songs in general.

Oh yeah, I have one of their albums right here on cd x3 I tend to take a listen to most of the bands that seem to be getting a lot of hype for some reason. In most I can see why (such as 2NE1 and BigBang, etc etc) but other like Super Junior or 2PM.. I just can't seem to grasp why .-. Haha oh well~ if people like to listen to it, I don't see any point in stopping them or spreading hate about it. People do what they enjoy doing

I know! Super Junior is so over-rated, just like Beast and every other pretty boy-band. Though I like some 2PM songs like "Without You"; but I thought "Heartbeat" was absolutely hilariously ridiculous, especially the video. I can never stop laughing when I watch it..lol

I haven't really looked in to it so deeply haha, I usually just check out a few songs from a band and when I don't like it I just move on ^^" There's more music in the world than would fit in my house xD People can afford to be picky I believe ^-^

I hate most pop music, so going by that I hate most Kpop.

Let me guess, HilaryClinton...you're more of a Jay Z kinda gal. I can totally see getting down to "Niggas In Paris."
And it's a common misconception that KPop are only Pop songs. They have their own fusion of Pop mixed with practically every other music genre, even Reggae. Listening to a doe-eyed Korean girl belting a Reggae song can be scaring... o_O

Eww Jay Z? Hell no...wait isn't Jay Z pop? Sounds like it to me, guess I have a broader view of whats pop and not pop.
I would rather not hear a Korean girl sing reggae to be completely honest. Also if not all Kpop is pop maybe not have the word pop in it? Idk....seems almost dumb ya know?

It is mostly served as a show business rather than music. There are some K-pop songs that are catchy and enjoying, the rest mostly dances and visual effect. When it comes to music, surely K-pop would stand a place in bar, dance music, but not something good for the ears.

I don't really like pop music in languages that I understand. Most of the time the song texts are pretty bad. That is way I kinda enjoy
J-Pop and K-Pop. Most of the time it is J-Pop (from anime etc.) so I can't really say much about K-Pop. But like TheHrony I listened to
K-Pop in the brakes of Korean League of Legends tournaments.
To clarify the situation (it looks like you misunderstood it): We are talking about tournaments we are watching on a stream and between the matches are "commercial break" were they only play music videos so not "real" commercials. It is not ingame, their is no ingame voice chat in LoL :)

Wow, really must hate it, huh? You sound like my brother...Ok maybe KPop isn't adventurous, but you can only really like it if you stay open-minded while sifting through the generic beats and 90s style pop songs to find the true KPop gems like BigBang(won a EMA for best international act) and 2NE1(won best new band on an world-wide MTV contest). And just for the record Psy's Gangnam Style is the KPop version of a commercial Justin Bieber-like hit, so no wonder you didn't like it. Just saying...

Fortunately, Gangnam Style is faaaaar off from KPop :3

Can't stand it. Just feels like standard girl/boy group and/or contemporary R&B music that people seem to like just because it's foreign. I feel the same way with their movies.

At first I hated but then it got under my skin and I became infected and now i am a kpop zombie trying my best to find survivors.

Why some people really like it? I can only speak for myself, but I find some KPop songs refreshing and different. American music these days sounds to much alike and every song is feels like some rehashed album, except for some few.
"KPop is for girls who like pretty boys." - that's like taking New Direction or Justin Bieber and saying the same thing about British or American music. But I still respect your opinion...

When was the last time I heard about KARA, though I have been out of the KPop loop since I joined boarding school...I totally agree with After School (loved Because of You), Sistar (have you seen Dream High 2?) and F(x) (wasn't that song Nu ABO strangely addictive?), but I've always drawn the line with Super Junior. Always thought they were over-rated...

I heavily dislike it, won't go into reasons since it has to do with me being a retarded cunt :Đ
I would pop HyunA's bubble anytime though.

If you mean girl groups or boy groups, their music? Not bad.
Actually, I like their looks better than music. I prefer old Kpop songs from the '70s to the '90s instead of modern Kpop.

For about a year or so I was interested in it, but I lost interest pretty quickly after that. I find J-pop/J-rock preferable.
The kind of genres I like are generally alternative rock, as well as soul/R&B. Oh and orchestrated music is great as well, be it movie/game soundtracks or anything else. Oh yeah, can't forget to mention solo piano covers of songs (usually anime ones, but not limited to those).

They're catchy. But more often than not they make me confused and I quickly lose interest.

I have got to admit, after watching KBS World (Korean Broadcasting Service) for 3 years now, that some KPop songs are catchy.
What are your thoughts on it? Outdated? Different, but still alright? Let's hear it!
P.S. Gangnam Style doesn't count!
EDIT: Great comments so far, but be more specific! If you like Kpop, why an what are some of you're favorite Kpop groups and songs. If not, what kind of music genre you prefer?
