Just seeing how anyone is doing after yesterdays wild storm.
I'm in that area and got lucky to still have power. Unfortunately, my RL friend in upstate NY lost power last night and still has none. As are my parents who are stuck in Virginia without power.

So, if you are here and able to view this, chime in and let us know you are OK.

Forgot to say- here's some news about the aftermanth. I DO hope you are all unharmed.

Where in upstate NY? I'm right outside Syracuse and we got hit hard.

Over 2 feet of snow, lot of trees down, my power was out half the day yesterday.

Seems pretty cleared up today, on the up and up. Lot to dig out from but roads are pretty clear.

I've been up here for 10 years now and still am not used to the winters here. I'm from NYC where it snows but not like this.... =/

South Jersey wasn't hit too badly - just a lot of rain that then turned into snow. It's already melting away this afternoon.

Unfortunately, close friends of mine just bought their first house (yay!) and had to delay moving by one day because of the weather.

Yeah, we were afraid we would lose power, as Atlantic City Electric seem prone to that, but it was fine. The roads were clear by Saturday morning.

I did hear on the raid that other parts of South Jersey, serviced by PSEG, did lose power. The Delaware Valley area of PA has lost power and may have to wait days for it to be restored.

Lost power for 24 hours. We went an hour away and spent Saturday with extended family, but came home to a dark home for the second night. We got the kids ready to sleep in front of the fireplace to stay warm, started a fire, ... and then the lights came back on. We still let them sleep in front of the fire for fun.

I thought this article was mildly amusing: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/weird/Everyone-on-the-Plane-Threw-Up-Wind-Storm-Makes-Bumpy-Ride-for-Dulles-Flight-475661103.html

It wasn't too bad in South Jersey, though I did hear some areas lost power. It sounds like the surrounding areas, like PA, NY, VA, were hit much worse.

We got hit really hard where I live in NY, but we're pretty used to bad snowstorms so there were plows etc. to help constantly clean up quickly. Lost power but was overnight, thankfully came back the next day. My brother went to work still though, which is always scary. The worst part about the winters here imo. I live next to a highway and there were several horrible accidents. Glad people here are safe and hopefully warm. :)
