Too many times i see someone posting a legitimate question here only to be met with arrogance and sarcasm
Also many people are very unwelcoming of new members

True, still think it's kinda rude to just reply to a question with something like "it's in the FAQ" or "just read the FAQ".
While I agree, I think it's at least nice to answer the question while also linking to it in the FAQ, and telling them it's a good idea to go over everything.

I agree with that. As long as they're not initially rude themselves ("ZOMG THIS SITE IS A SCAM I DIDN'T GET FULL CREDIT FOR <insert bundle game>?!?!?"), I try to copy/paste the relevant section and link to the FAQ and/or Guidelines.

To be honest I'd have to disagree. The truth is that people who can't be bothered skimming the FAQ before asking a question don't bother reading the FAQ unless they're forced to. Basically that means that when you give them the answer, they'll ignore the FAQ-link and continue the same way, which is a waste. Better to teach people to use the FAQ so they become more worthwhile members.
As they say: don't give em a fish, but teach them to fish ;)
Now if they have a question or further concerns that the FAQ does not adequately answer, then it's different of course.

SG has one of the better communities when compared to other sites but it still has it flaws/share of assholes. I like it here :D.

Immediate class seperation from those who have contributed and those who havent. Scraps of food thrown at them randomly from the contributors. Every now and then the government would drop a food crate, and a few quick souls would use that food to gain upper class status before we catch on and deny that brand of food.as sacrifice. New members to the lower class would always be accepted, however immediately shunned. The private media(forum) would be the biggest source of supplies for the lower class but it would become harder and harder to procure the supplies as witchhunts and misunderstandings causing people to be outcast.

Now that I'm thinking more about this, you'd end up just like in real life, Philanthropists(level 10's give away 1000s more than they take). Democrats(levels 5-9)Give more than they take, but still enter for only AAA games while giving out bundles and AAA) Republicans (levels 2-4), take more than they give, never give away AAA titles. Libertarians (Levels 1-9), give away and enter at whims no pattern to giveaway worth, and finally the Welfare class (Level 0-1) Take and take, and giveaway stuff they got for free anyways.

The SG community is horrible and for many, many reasons. It's like trying to explain why 4chan is cancer.
inb4 gets blacklisted even though several others have said the same thing. Whether not you like it, there's a lot of arrogant assholes here and ignoring/blacklisting them doesn't solve anything.

Tell that to the people that blacklist others because they "don't like them" or the like. It gives the impression that the blacklisted person is bad in some kind of way. It's almost as bad as calling someone out. I'd say it's slander but that's silly.
