Have played most of them and the one about Order of the Phoenix is imo the best one, if you haven't checked it out yet, you definetly should play it... Some say that it's boring but I just loved exploring Hogwarts since it was basically the whole castle open world :)

Edit: It seems I completely disregarded OP's question, sorry for that :D While I don't really crave it, it would certainly be very nice to be able to jump back into Hogwarts, maybe in a way that South Park: The Stick of Truth does it, with a new story, player-made characters etc. Maybe it'd be too difficult to do, or they think the HP franchise is over but I'd certainly be hyped for it if they did a game again (open world ofc) didn't really like HP4&6 games...

A genuine HP FPS would be awesome. From Activision!

In all seriousness though I don't think they could make a HP game to please every demographic of the series fanbase.

I'd prefer an open world single-player RPG from the world of Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones. I know there were quite a few LotR games (corridor action RPGs and that MMO), but none of them depicted the "epicness" of LotR. Also, Game of Thrones deserves better game than... that trash.
Harry Potter series are dead, just let them be. The 1st two HP games were decent though.

Quiddich World Cup was fun.

I really thought Sorcerer's Stone for PC was a really good rendition of Harry Potter back when I played it. Using the mouse to draw wand motions to cast a spell was pretty cool, I thought. Also, the GameBoy Color RPGs for the first two books were nothing short of fantastic.

Harry Potter one and two for the ps1 was pretty fun.

I still haven't finished Chamber of Secrets on the ps2, too difficult xD
