I think just removing the inactive ones after a while, or even just clearing their queues, should be enough.
The current amount of active support members (7 support + 7 mods + 3 supermods), should be plenty enough for the 3220 open tickets; if they did ~5 per day each on average, it'd take a little over 1 month to clear them all, but it'd likely be faster, since most tickets should be pretty easy to solve (infractions, suspensions, duplicate tickets, etc.).
But even if there were a hundred staff members, that wouldn't help when tickets get stuck in the queue of one of the 3 who have been offline for 3, 4, and 9 months, respectively - which is what I suspect is happening.

Should be enough if they would be active yes but only 15% of them are active (and as far as i am able to see it none very much) :o(
And nope not only the ones with 3, 4 and 9 months are inactive and/or unmotivated. It would be possible to solve different tickets, as example from me, without them involved.
