You can find -75% coupon for CoD4. Just keep searching. There are many people giving away coupons. You have more chance for that.

The single player is good, but the multiplayer is pretty crappy. Punk buster servers don't seem to work well and there are still a lot of blatant hackers and aimbots

COD4 is great. Still my favorite COD, can't stand the new additions: paid map packs, commando, attack dogs etc.
Concerning Hackers, as long as you stay on PunkBuster servers you'll very very rarely enounter them (personal experience). Although leave PunkBuster servers, eg. to have you and some mates play online with the same key: and it the fun gets spoilt really quickly by hackers.

i dont know if u insist on using steam but here you can get a serial for $7,99. dont know anything about the site but i read that there havent been any problems with the keys so far.

Modern Warfare 1 is the best CoD game.
I doubt it'll ever go on sale however, and there's also the matter of seeing if your graphics card is good enough.

CoD 4 was and still is a classic, if I were you I'd look in local game stores for a cheap pre-owned copy.

Could always wait for another Steam sale.
