In any case, the rep system is not perfect. People can call their friends to give one person multiple negative feedbacks, some clowns actually trade positive feedbacks without ever having traded and sometimes.. this happens. So yeah, some moderation on the feedback is fine, as it's better than having to trust someone on how many '+rep nice trader''s someone has on their Steam profile.

his topic is fine, but it's going to be inevitable that he starts responding and that's what's going to get him trouble. However keep in mind that he thinks he's in the right for making idiotic life decisions and trying to punish other people. It's not a scam if you jump the gun and hand someone a key, before you hash out the details in a chat window. Especially if you know English is not your main language and you're not strong at it.

All I wish for is that the mods actually take a look at the user reports from people misuing neg-feedback when you have never ever even traded with them. I still have user reports opened from a YEAR AGO that are untouched.

User reports are handled in a ticket-by-ticket case, they are not grouped by users. It's very likely that the user got suspended / even permabanned, while your ticket is still open. Pretty bad system, but this is what we have, more than nothing. (Own experience, I found 2-3 permabanned people amongst my open tickets, lots of the users left the site in the meanwhile, etc. It's worth checking them over)

I'm on his blacklist and he's in my blacklist. Short reason for blacklisting: he was reporting everyone that wasn't agreeing with his opinion and I suppose that he blacklisted me for the reason that I wasn't agreeing with him. When you think that my blacklist has only 4 names on it, it means that the non return point was reached.
I didn't know however that apparently, he's used to be suspended here. Meh, I understand now the popcorn comment.

See, again if you were fluent in English you'd realize that he wasn't agreeing to a trade.He didn't take anything from you, you didn't give anything to him. There was no scam, you yourself don't know if he was trying to scam you and everyone who looked at that conversation knew that there was a misunderstanding. He wasn't attempting to scam you, you just both are not native English speakers. So the fact that you went out of your way to give this guy a negative feedback knowing all this, makes you the bad guy.
And once again even if I don't trade with random people on the internet, I do know that if I'm going to do it I'd at least wait until the chat window is open and I have confirmation. X For Y? And they say Yes or no. =O Problem solved. If they said yes, and then say no, it's still not a scam because people are allowed to change their minds.

Rep shouldn't be permanent, I once received a negative rep that wasn't for me. The guy that posted it realized that and corrected his mistake, if rep was permanent then I'd have had to deal with an unfair negative score.
On an unrelated note, try getting a little bit more fluent in English and try to not screw up your grammar so much, it will help you a lot with trading and communicating with this community in general. Just a friendly advice.

There's a good reason for this to not be commentable. First off, trades can fall apart for any number of reasons, and can be either party's fault, or no one's fault. Sometimes people are negotiating trading the same item with several people, or they've agreed but the other party's taking too long to respond, or they get a better offer, or any of a number of situations
Second, bad experience before trade is very subjective. If we allow commenting for that, people will be complaining about each party valuing a game differently. I once had someone complain when I was asking for two cheap/worthless games in exchange for a more valuable game, insisting it should be 1-for-1. I'm often surprised when someone's asking for more keys than the game would cost off steam. But, that's the nature of commerce: people value things differently, and if they disagree on the exchange, they just don't make a trade.
As for bad experience after trade, or bad comments, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Do you mean the person doesn't deliver, or screws up somehow (someone once realized after I sent my side that he no longer had the agreed upon key - we quickly made an alternate trade that was less desirable, but still fair). Or do you mean after the trade has been consummated? If the former, give them bad feedback, and it should stick. If the latter, well, no one cares about your feelings, get over it.

Well, this will be interesting. Personally, this is a very bad idea, because I've seen many cases where scammers themselves give -rep to the people that they've scammed. Besides, no trade was made, so giving him negative feedback puts you in the wrong here.

No! I saw the guy-you-were-talking-about's post and I disagree, he DID NOT try to scam you. If he wanted to scam you, he wouldn't say "no". You should ALWAYS confirm the trade on chat before sending the key.
Also, when it comes to permanent feedback, this is a bad idea because people very often give fake negative rep (like "because he didn't accept my offer" "because his prices are high" etc.). There are also situations where impersonators cause honest traders to get negative rep and so on. As such it is necessary for support to be able to filter out such abuses.

Suffice it to say it to say he took a response to mean "Yes, you give me that cheap ass game for my expensive game." rather than "Yes, I would consider a deal involving that game." Which is fine, non-native speaker, shit happens. But rather than accept it as a mistake, he goes on to give neg feedback saying the guy was a scammer, and then do stuff like this in a thread the original guy made asking what to do to fix it.

Offer 1 -> Declined -> Offer 2 -> Was declined (but there was a misunderstanding so we'll pretend that he said yes) -> Add on Steam -> Say hello -> Confirm Trade -> Start Trade

Negative feedback can't be deleted. Unless it's obviously a misuse of trade feedback (for example, let's imagine a kid with anger management troubles who'd give negative feedback to someone, while not having traded / been scammed at all). In that case, the feedback is removed by support, and the offender gets a well-deserved 5 days suspension.
When the 5 days end, it's usually a good idea to get some popcorn.

A few days ago user of this site tried to steal my key. He made a good play on words, which meant something completely different than their literal meaning.. I gave him negative feedback to warn others and support gave me 5 days suspension and ""deleted my warning comment"".
So, even we have negative comments we can in easy step have good reputation, because suport can delete it.
We can try scam others and when ppl give ours negative feedback we can write to the support because "trade was not completed because he realized that wanted to cheat ".
Trade not completed - no comment.
Bad experience before trade - no comment.
Bad experience after trade - write to your friend from support abut delete negative comment and call him liar.
Bad comments - write to the support and ask to delete it. You are really cool and even you tried to do bad deal you should have full positive feedback to do good deals with others unaware ppl.
Finally, In my opinion negative feedback should be pernament and should have 1comment option.
