How often do you use it?
I don't use it personally, a 24 in. monitor is a big enough screen for me without moving over to my TV. I do have some friends that use it though.

At our last house I used it with my projector and elliptical. Since I can only play controller based games while running and don't want to have the distraction of running while playing a real immersive game I don't tend to play any of my favorite games on it so I haven't had any issue with how it runs.
In our new house I'm looking into my options for a living room streaming setup with the projector but haven't decided on how (Steam Link, Shield, Razor's link thing, or a simple machine running either SteamOS or just streaming to the Steam client on windows). I suspect Big Picture will play a part of this setup regardless.
As far as benifits it pretty much boils down to: It is easier to read from a distance on a larger screen and it is 100% navigable and functional via a controller.

So I was wondering any real purpose or benefit to use Big Picture mode on steam? And do you use it yourself and why?
