but to find out if it's official and if it's not a scam.

Is it one of these: http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/QfhuC/steamgifts-for-android-iphone, http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/jxQ9T/a-new-steamgifts-android-app-has-appeared? Then they are legit.
