The game itself is just a boring grind with too many dlcs. It would have much more success if it used steam trading.

When I first got the game, along with some DLC's including the main one, which came in parts, I thought the game was decent. Then as they added more and more DLC's and 0.000001% to get 'rare loot' by grinding for hours, the game just got boring. That's just how I felt about the game.
In short: Was fun, now boring.

Singleplayer it's one of the worst tower defence games ever.
With friends it is fun at least for like 20 hours, then starts getting boring when you notice you're not getting anywhere unless you buy the 800 dlc. I didn't even mind grinding...

The problem is survival you have to do 2/3 hours to complete it... too much time and in the last wave somethin will crash or steam will go down..... xD

I got it a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it's got the top hours on my games list now.
Honestly, the only complaints about it I usually see are about the amount of DLC. On a sale though, just buying the complete pack is cheaper than the base game off a sale so even then I don't see the big deal about it.

You don't really need most of the DLC. A lot of it, also, was free on release, as a way of rewarding their customers. I'm okay with that.

I noticed a lot of people saying the DLC killed the game. If everyone remembers correctly when most of the DLC was released they were free for a few days and only the people who missed out on getting it during that time had to pay. So how does free DLC ruin a game? The only DLC you had to pay for is the character packs(if you were early getting the free DLCs) which is totally fair in my opinion.
This game is awesome and I don't feel the DLC hurt the game in any way. Only reason I don't play it a lot anymore is because none of my friends have the game and I got bored with playing solo, it's a great multiplayer game if you have friends who own it.

That only happens with event DLC's like halloween/easter/ and some event skin packs. There are plenty of games out there that release free events like that every year, at it's not those DLC that would keep the game entertaining imo.
Most of them are awfull, only good one i see is the halloween map but it's rather old and outdated, so yeah...
All the DLC for new heroes, new maps, new challenges costs money. There are some occassions where you would get something free if you own the eternia quest pack but you still paid for it since you had to buy the pack afterall.

lol what? I didn't even flame, now you did. I only said you didn't have a damn clue what you were saying, you did have a point with that post, but you make it sound like as if every single DLC they made was free for a small duration of time then you had to pay for it. That's wrong in so many ways because of what i said on my previous post, only event DLC's + skins + jester were part of that what you said in your post, other DLC's like talay, any of the new heroes (excluding jester obviously) and city in cliffs for example, those DLC were never free to begin with, and those are the game changing ones, not the ones you are speaking off.
Who cares that you get a chance to have something free like a skin pack from halloween and the event itself, that's silly because it won't change anything, only good FREE DLC they actually released so far was Jester, even then it's damn awfull, i would rather see it pay 2 play DLC with much better effort put into it.
Yes, you are right about the Jester, i didn't forget about it, but it doesn't drastically change gameplay like any of the other heroes.
Btw, just so you know... people who say that have a point. Game went from tower-defense with little to no awfull grinding/item farming moments into the opposite way. DD is all about finding upgrades/making new sets/make profit with outrageous sales now, there's no point in playing it like before, it's not even that fun anymore. If you say otherwise then i pity you big time. You would know this if you played DD as much as i did, in the end it turns into a waste of time with no real fun, just annoying stuff overall.

You're telling me "you make it sound like as if every single DLC they made was free" and "not the ones you are speaking of". I never said EVERY DLC was free which makes that first quote false. You also say not the ones I'm speaking of, I actually never gave names of exact DLC, I said some were free which is correct.
So I'm not really sure why you're telling me I'm wrong, I just think you're misunderstanding what I wrote.
Not trying to sound like a dick but I think you need to read it again and carefully to understand what I'm saying because you're telling me I'm wrong and I have no clue what I'm talking about but then you type the same things I originally said in my first post.

I do hate when games get so much DLCs with so little content in it.. That's so greedy from devs/publishers and insulting to those who bought the fucking game and yet are asked to contribute more and more to have the full game. Quite paradoxicaly this is coming a lot from indie developers..
I really miss when back in the days good PC games would typically get two expansions with a shitload of content. When I see titles such as Magicka, Dungeons Defenders, Saint Row 3, SFvsTekken ect.. with insane amounts of mediocre DLCs and how people are actually buying and asking for more I just wanna sell my Steam account and be done with gaming.
It's nothing like it used to be, and even people born in the late 90's can't know that..
