It offers all 4 elements, enriched with grand strategy elements. Why wouldn't you consider Stellaris 4X?

Idk. It's GSG with 4X elements imo, but I see it more like a GSG, maybe because it's a paradox games. I tried to avoid games that are from other subgenres, but with some 4X stuff included, like Stellaris, Sins of Solar Empire (RTS/4X), etc

Eh, they all are different in their unique ways. Stellaris just offers deeper mechanisms. Would feel weird not to consider it 4X, just because it's better / offering more. Imho it has everything that defines 4X, thus it is 4X. ;)

As far as voting goes, I had to go with OTHER aka Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. No other 4X really tackled story or had such excellent writing so far to this day.

Real answer right here! I have enjoyed Endless Legend quite a bit recently though. I feel that if they can improve on story (which they have compared to their previous games), an EL2 might be pretty great.

We think that a short review feels a lot more personal and intimate than an automated tool and it's doable in a small group. In other words, I'm not tech-savvy enough to create any tools xD

Oh, I was just saying I'm already familiar with this type of system because of PA, not judging which one is better. But now that I think about it, I think I prefer reviews to judging by stats and achievements.
