I havent played it for more than an hour (I dont own it), but I tried both controller and keyboard and I prefer controller (I rarely do).
Third person games are usually better with controller in my opinion (I still play with keyboard if you have to aim a lot). Like Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Just Cause (even though you have to be constantly aiming).

Some QTEs at the beginning are VERY annoying. They later get better.

Haha thanks for the heads-up ;-)
I'm following what these guys have to say about the Tomb Raider whenever I'm done with a section, and in the first section they already mentioned that the ending will have more QTEs again...

I tried it with both mouse+keyboard and gamepad. Mouse+keyboard was far better because my headshot percentage and kill speed was greatly increased with mouse. I was struggling to hit running deer with gamepad but with mouse it was piece of cake.

Although I usually prefer the accuracy of the mouse and keyboard, I feel like the challenge of aiming with the joysticks fits with this game's theme. It also greatly improves the quick time events (you can't avoid them, so you may as well enjoy them).

I played with keyboard and had no problem at all. I don't mind the qte's but once you get past them the game is really good.

I played it with the keyboard and mouse. I'm most comfortable with those two. Howeeever, when I was playing Tomb Raider: Anniversary, TR: Legends, and TR: Underworld, there were times when I plugged in the controller because those games' controls can get a little stupid with the keyboard... Sometimes you have to hold down shift and/or ctrl, direction, and press space with your left hand when you're trying to make her do fast, acrobatic rolls in the middle of combat. That shit's just easier on the controller.

I started with keyboard and mouse but swapped to gamepad when that arrived. It feels more natural in games where aiming fast isn't as important to use a gamepad, I even use it in watch_dogs. The only time I use keyboard + mouse is when aiming fast and accurate is important - a gamepad just cannot compete here.

If you're good with the controller go with the controller (I found it quite easy on hard difficulty), if not go with keyboard & mouse.

Tell me, are you playing Tomb Raider with controller or keyboard? And why?
Just asking because I started playing the game today... not enjoying it so much quite yet because of the many quicktime events, but I'm told it'll be better later on in the game, so there's hope ˉ-)
