Latest I hated was Death Stranding boss fights. They were boring, enemies were damage sponges, required you to rinse and repeat one and the same move over and over again. I really did not look forward to the boss battles in that game. I enjoyed the game in general, but the fights felt like thrown in for the sake of having them.

Any enemy that can kill me in a couple of hits. I want to enjoy games, and wasting my time trying to "git gud" is not my idea of enjoying games because progress is important to my enjoyment. Although I do find damage sponges annoying, I would rather whittle away at one knowing it will go down eventually than being killed over and over with no way to measure progress.

Personally it has to be Kyohei Jingu in Yakuza Kiwami 1, that boss was so annoying and after you spend all of the consumables on him, you have to literally fight another boss.
But generally it's either bullet sponges or respawning enemies. (even worse if combined 💀)

It's strange that you would mention Salt and Sanctuary but not the Spindlebeasts.
Personally it's the Xaurips from Pillars of Eternity. Total trash mobs (aside from the priest and skirmisher variants) but they come in packs of 500 and drop shitty loot that just clutter merchants' inventories forever if you dare sell it. Also they're basically kobolds but they had to get an "oRigiNaL" name because reasons.

Those guys were easy once you figured them out, Retchfeeders were worse.

I have literally no memory of Retchfeeders :x Probably because different builds and all that. Greatsword + Greatshield took care of pretty much anything, but the Spindlebeasts could still send me half a million screens away if I wasn't careful.

Any boss that is reflex-based, which is pretty much all of Hollow Knight's... It's one thing to learn patterns to beat a boss, to figure out how and when to hit, but making the ennemies so fast that you have to be on cocaine to dodge in time is just a cheap trick, really.

Damage sponges are just annoying, if it's beatable why drag it out?
Anything with a 1 shot kill move. Fuck that, especially if it's RNG based. If something absolutely must have one then make it telegraphed and easily avoidable/counterable so if you do get hit it's your own fault.

Any enemy that runs away from you. Devil May Cry 5 is a game that comes to mind as having tons of them. For example, there's this little shit that teleports away the moment you would hit it. Sure, there are "strategies" to deal with this, but I personally think it's just bad enemy design and, not only is it infuriating, it breaks the flow of everything.

Currently, I loathe agents in Just Cause 4 (for anyone that does not know, they have a grappling hook and guns that knock you back really far). The main issue is that there are 5-6 achievements tied to killing them in special ways which is really annoying when there are dozens of them shooting you constantly. Anyway, I should finish the game out in a couple of days worth of grinding, and I'll never deal with them again.

Very difficult fight unless you been aware since the start of the game and build up Ramza to win this fight.
I haven't played the game in years...
If I recall correctly, this stage is a part of a string of battles, that you can save inbetween, where you can't go back to worldmap to farm/grind,....
when you find out you will NEVER ever win with your current abilities and DREAD sets in when you realize you only been using a single save slot.... forcing you to quit playing or start a new game and play ALL over again!!! :( :( :(
[try winning this fight, only have brought Ramza up as a mage!!!!]
This boss fight:
Luckly:
Unlucky:
Pretty much the ONLY way to win is having "auto potion" counter ability and ONLY having x-potions in invetory.
It is very difficult to win otherwise, with a few narrow ways of doing so.

I don't play a crazy amount of pvp games but! I used to play fighting games and sometimes lag can be the worst enemy of all.

Sorry if I made this before, I can not remember not find an old one.
What are some of your most hated enemies in games?
One of mine, not sure if it counts even though it can be killed, is the Chariot from Elden Ring. The only reason I will not go into grave sites anymore.
Retchfeeder from Salt and Sanctuary are also on that list. Easy to kiil but when they come in mobs they can jump you and drain your HP fast.
Giants in many games as they can be damage sponges.
All I can think of for me now as I need to head to work.
But as a consolation for indulging me here, have a small GA hidden by another jigidi.
