For anyone creating giveaways from this deal, please be careful and double check keys if you can. Some of my keys were mislabeled and the games were mixed up.

If other people have exactly the same problem, please let us know, because if it happened for everyone, then we know we can switch them around before we create giveaways.

I would hope they'll be open to offering replacement codes if the wrong ones are activated, considering the description of the bundle specifically said "Since they’ll be delivered as individual games, you’ll be able to spread the spring cheer by gifting them to your friends".

Meh, my Quantum Conundrum is Quantum Conundrum, but I wanted to give away Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition(a a few other games) which I don't own, but I own the original, so now I'm not sure if my codes are messed up, or they are not :(

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition Has 24 DLC.. But mine only had 3 after activated.

They gave me a replacement key afterwards, but a duplicate code. SE , it's getting messy-aahhh

Comment has been collapsed.

How did you find out that they were wrong, when you activated them? trying to figure out if there is a safe way to make GAs for these games without getting the games mixed up

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I activated all at the moment they revealed the games. SE already knew the issues and rectified it. So, it shld be no error if you check it now. Don't worry.

Regarding the Sleeping Dogs,

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, it had 24 DLC..

Sleeping Dogs Digital Version (after you activated the code ) only give you 3 DLCs I think.

So, the difference is visible.

However, it is not available for some countries like Germany, German will get digital version instead.

For my case, they made a blunder and gave me the wrong key. (DE available in my country)

I'll have to see if anyone complains about the sleeping dogs key and then i'll contact SE if needed :)

It will show "Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition" in your steam library if you activates the correct key.

Mix-ups? That's really bad for anyone who wants to make giveaways or do trades.
Figures Square Enix would find some way to ruin this.

Under "My Orders" each order has a line with several status fields, one of the fields is delivery, and has a "view" link.

I didn't buy this Box, and I'm glad I didn't.

  • Quantum Conundrum : I don't care
  • FF8 : I really disliked this one
  • FF13-2 : I didn't like FF13, this one looks a little bit better, but I'm still not interested
  • Deus Ex : I already have it

6.5€ for only Sleeping Dogs, it still could have been a decent deal. But I just got it for 3€, so, no regret.

13-2 is a pain in the ass, storywise 13 was better imo. But thats probably it.

Permalink

Oh. Good then :p
Ah, yeah, you're right, 13-2 is the one with the shapeshifting Moogle and the time stuff.
This trilogy smells like fish imo...

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah... I can't comment on lightning returns though, haven't played. But i do recall it having a timer to "beat the game" otherwise you would automatically loose, this is BS for a FF game. It goes totally against my ideals for a good storyline game.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Exactly. It was the same thing for "Valkyrie Profile : Lenneth". It' was a great game though, but you can't clean the game, you have to give up some side quests, you can't exp like you want, you're all the time in a rush.
I was okay with this gameplay for Valkyrie Profile, it was a wonderful game, full of poetry. For FF13, I just can't, it was again a bad idea. This trilogy is so disappointing.

According to Xitau's math, they add up to 91 dollars.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You are really bad at math I think.

It's $90.95 on Steam store or Squenix store base prices. So, I mean, yeah, it's not the $80 they said... They gave us more than they said by almost $11. I'm not gonna complain.

Go around fishing for a trade then? Life is strange EP1 has been given away like 3-4 times in these bundles.

and I doubt they'd give the rest of the chapters that easily .

THIS one is actually one of the most decent bundles they've done.

Sleeping dogs only gives the regular edition, not the definitive edition.

There difference is about $70 with of DLC. That is disappointing.

If that's genuinely the case, I'm sure you can log a complaint with Square Enix, seeing as they will have given you the wrong product.

From what I heard the DC is actually more broken and buggy than original :/

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not quite. DC is based upon the unpatched vanilla version. So aside from the changes made for DC it's in the same state vanilla was on launch. There aren't more bugs, the old ones that were later patched in vanilla are just back.

It includes all the DLC and integrates the story DLC into the correct spot in the story rather than being a standalone episode.

I'm pretty ecstatic to be honest. I thought it would be full of stuff I already have. Thankfully, the only one I own is FF XIII-2. I never had the Director's cut of Deus Ex either, only the normal edition (I know it's said that the DC is worse, but I don't have it. Let me have my moment). So I'm really pleasantly surprised. Not many giveaways here. :)
