You gain points for every giveaway created by other users. So in times many GAs are created (sales, new bundles,..) points regenerate faster.

Take a look at the timezones and where most SG users are from (USA, Russia, Poland, Germany are the top 4 I think). Most users are still asleep or created their GAs at the start of the sale.

When Curse of the immortals was spammed as GA I got lots of points earned throughout the day. But when I've won it, points regeneration decreased. I know the FAQ says all are having equal regeneration but I just noticed that it has decreased a lot.
No GA cause I still can't buy using my wallet...
