Hi, I've never pay much attention to Steam cards, but about 2 weeks ago I spent 5€ on booster packs for 4 different games. What is strange, is that in the last two days the price of those boosters increased to 150% of the basic price, and I wonder what would cause such spiking in market. Any guess?

Define "base price". The simplest explanation is that people bought out the cheapest ones, and the more expensive ones remained the same price while there are no new ones in the market.

It is not worth buying booster packs, always better to get cards separately from market.

not worth buying boosters nor crafting them, unless you wanna gamble getting foils.

I meant 150% of the price I paid 2 weeks ago. And actually it was worth it to buy boosters back then, as boosters were for 0.20, and cards were for 0.10 (0.12) each, which also was a bit strange.

Prices always depend on the game. It's kinda hard to predict. Anime stuff always gets high prices, no matter what. Games that sold huge amounts of copies should be expected to have lower card prices. Sometimes they have, sometimes not. Bundled games cards are usually cheap in the days after, then go back to higher prices, so buy early, sell late. Also, card prices depend on how large a set is and what you can get when crafting the set (emoticons, backgrounds => sometimes the reason for very high prices!).
