Amount of $
When I was young and naive, I found a guy on Xbox Live that said he had a DLC code for Microsoft points. Never got my DLC but reported the points as not working to Microsoft. They suspected a code generator got it and banned the guy's profile for using a code generator since it's basically stealing. I got a new code. I temporarily lost $20 but it ended up all right. Never been scammed on Steam as of yet. Don't go first if they have no rep or very little, and never click fishy links or accept lvl 0 private profile friend requests.

twice. one time i lost 35$ due to paypal chargeback, second time i bought a stolen copy of planetary annihilation. both are long ago and since i got some basic trading rules for myself, nothing ever happened again.

A russian dude one added me and said he wanted all of my cards and would send me a Steam gift in return. Didn't have much experience and got scammed, the guy blocked me and got away. Never again trust unknown people, especially russians.

Instead of "Apfelsaft"(lol wtf is this) there must've been option "Never been scammed, I don't let anyone scam me"

i dont click links, i decline private or less than lvl 10 profile invites and i dont believe that i can trade my 5euro thing for 100 euro thing so zero, anyone who got scammed must be really naive but iam sorry for them thats why i think all kind of criminality including this should be punished with death penalty. less money for prisons, more money for hospitals, less criminals, would be a wonderful world.

and i dont believe that i can trade my 5euro thing for 100 euro thing
And that's not how most people get scammed. Most "smart" scammers try to give offers that seem reasonable. I've never run into a scammer that has tried to offer me an expensive game for like 3 keys, rather they've offered market value. There has always been more subtle things that have been off.

The worst thing is that i got scammed mostly in real life by real people.
Like when you loan something to someone and you'll never get it back, or just something stolen by someone of your crew but you don't know who so you cannot accuse anyone.

Got scammed once by a guy who i knew in rl ... a few months later i heard news about him saying that he ended up fired cause he was stealing money from his job (was working behind a cash desk on a grocery). I lost 23 euros. He had DayZ on his inventory as he wanted to trade it, i gave him the keys and cards considering that he was a trustworthy person but he ended up removing me from his friend list and actually activating DayZ the next moment.
Although i hated him for what he did and i tried to find him afterwards, i feel sorry for him as he had many troubles in life
