Should I disclose the games that are hidden behind my not-so-evil-but-not-so-easy puzzle?
As a IT student, I love your website's design format :)
BUMP!

Welcome back, and thanks for the fun puzzle! Really enjoyed it.
I filled out the form. I have some experience in translation, so I noticed some typos and missing punctuation (like 'Found int Translation', 'todo', missing a comma or two, etc.). There are also a couple of things I'd phrase differently. Looks like a solid website though :)

You wouldn't believe how many times we checked that website altogether, but we probably shouldn't have done it at 3 am after a 24 hours rush to complete the graphics, heheh. Thank you very much for pointing out all of that and also thank you for filling out the form. You guys are helping a lot! 🤩

Hehe, no worries! That's why I use a spellchecker for my writing, I figured there's probably just some sleep deprivation involved :D

Welcome back! I've filled the survey, and as for the puzzle - I feel like I've encountered a red herring or I'm actually losing the grip on reality cause I think I've tried all possible options. Maybe I need to get familiar with some of your older puzzles.
Edit: Welp, nevermind. I got it.

Solved, bump. Maybe a back button in train would be helpful.

User Content
The below is a list of content that is not allowed in our community. Content consists of any material you post or make available through our site, such as discussions, links, comments, usernames, or Steam avatars.
Third party giveaways that require or reward users for performing profitable actions. For example, linking to a giveaway on another service that requires or incentivizes users to click a referral link, like a Facebook page, follow a Twitter account, join a Steam group, complete a survey, sign-up for a newsletter, or make a donation.
I hope you don't have this problem, but does it look ok?
It seems that the puzzle is using "2Solve.Me" in the recent SG.🤔
I feel it would be safer to separate them from the survey portion.
Welcome back♪🙂

Welcome back! Tried to solve it with ChatGPT and surprisingly it had answers for all the riddles, but I still didn't get the right code haha guess it's time for some brute forcing. I like these puzzles generally, but also dislike the way they leave everything open - it's hard to know which of the 5 codes is wrong.
Thank you anyway for the puzzle!
PS - Is there any way I could check my answers with you, via Steam or something else?

Using ChatGPT is somewhat of a crazy yet brilliant idea! Maybe I could integrate that into one of my future puzzles 🤖
By the way, still not giving away hints but I can tell you at least 12 people solved the puzzle from the GA with the highest number of entries. Also, the GAs are open for 10 days so you will have the time to come back a couple of times :)

It felt like the right scenario to use ChatGPT: questions that require an understanding of syntax, and that results could be Googled somewhat easily with the keywords provided.
Also interesting is that I literally pasted the questions with underlines separating the words, the way they were formatted in the link (e.g. The_first_letterof...) and ChatGPT was smart enough to understand what I've done. Truly astounding. Once I've finished asking the five questions, I asked ChatGPT to generate a code combining the five previous answers, and it failed 😁 but it was a good run
Maybe I should double-check ChatGPT answers thou to make sure I got the right code - by now we all know ChatGPT sounds very confident and trustworthy, even when making mistakes hehe

I'm sorry but.. You can't give a hint and people TALKING for a solution is considered "cheating", yet AI is applaud?.. And it's not considered cheating?.. Are you kidding me?
Granted, I can't even find where to begin searching for the puzzle itself, let alone what's next but that's not the issue.. I have everything from the ga's, I wouldn't enter them anyway but I honestly would LOVE to know how is AI NOT cheating and discussing it or you dropping hints "is".. lol
Comment has been collapsed.
I ain't said that dropping hints is cheating, nor would be sharing them between you.
But I've asked not to share in order not to spoil the fun to the people that, like me, love the struggle of breaking your own brain open in order to get soultions. I remember years ago being on puzzles for months and then, out of the blue, solutions popped up in my mind in the most unlikely moments, but the greater the struggle, the greater the satisfaction 😎
Of course you would still be able to share hints outside of this discussion without me knowing it but I am no Batman and I don't have the demand to supervise the whole universe. Still, I would suggest you not to do it.
Also, about AI, that was a "solution" I did not even think about.
Puzzles are like a duel between the puzzler and the solver, aren't them? Kinda like chess. Or that is how I see them. And the user who thought about AI kind of "beat" me, as that never came to my mind. You see, thinking about any kind of bruteforcing or shortcut the solver might come up with is a task I never overlook when creating a puzzle.
Of course my aim is not to "beat" you people, but to do a puzzle that is enough difficult to be somewhat fun to the majority of you without being too hard and discourage too many of you at the same time, because if no one got the prize, where would be the fun for you? I personally solved a lot of puzzles just for sake of solving and I know there are some user like me around here, but I know we are a small number.
In the end, I'll add also that the user that used ChatGPT said it was not of any help so, I really cannot see the issue here 🤷🏼♂️

Hmmm.. Phrasing was the issue by the answer you gave. This indeed makes sense unlike how it "reads" initially
I personally prefer self contained puzzles and honestly I can't even fathom from where to begin to even look but yeah, some like them.
You have been absent for too long (around the time I joined here actually xD ) but it's more and more frequent to see harder and harder puzzles that in the end "cheaters" mostly solve them. When it is because the creator likes them, it's fine, when it is because it will get rid of bots, I laugh xD It only makes it harder for "simple" people.

Fear not, maybe I could give some help to people that, like you, cannot even find the puzzle. The trick is really easy and when I left almost anyone knew it. Probably I'm too "old school", I've got obsolete oh my my 😅 Meanwhile I can tell you that a requirement to solve this puzzle is knowing this vital part of SG.

Hey I remember you buddy. :) I have not been very active either, so worry not, you are not alone in this. It happens. Welcome back.
Hope you have played Hades by the way these last 2 years!
PS1: puzzle is too hard. While I know the answers from the 5 quiz questions... they dont seem to work as a sg code. zzzz.
PS2: good old brute forces. solved finally.

It is really good to be back and see someone remembers my evil puzzles! 🤗 Talking about Hades, man, I have not played it, I have WORN IT OUT, since their publisher is looking for a translator for Chapter 2, me and all of my team are playing it on repeat so we are ready in case they choose us to localise Hades 2 🤩

Wow that's amazing to hear !! nice damn!!!! :D
I have to admit very few games in the last 20 years have shown to me the perfection that is hades.
Whole package is so amazing in way too many aspects of what make a game great. Its a good day to be a gamer lol.
Very few games can capture that perfection, If i had to choose 3 to take with me to a deserted island, it would be for sure Hades, hollow knight and slay the spire. It would have to be DRM-free versions however (not internet dependent) cause you can't have internet on a deserted island. lol.

True. However indie companies making indie games, and platforms like GOG still exist at least. But you are right in essence, its tending to disappear over the years. This makes me feel old some times lol. But I still enjoy a good game when it is truly perfect, so at least I'm not "THAT" old. xD

Bump for solved and for completing the form, thanks for the interesting puzzle!

I found a typo on the main page:
"We are a team with several different backgrounds and experiences including translators, copyeditors, teachers, philologists, project managers and marketing experts, and each one of us makes a quintessential tile of the big family of Found int Translation."
This is more of a suggestion, regarding "each one of us makes a quintessential tile of the big family" ...
I think it should read, "each one of us is a quintessential piece/part/member of the big family"
I hope that helps.
<<<>>>
Addition:
"Consumers find ungrammatical ads twice as annoying as insistent ones." >> "Consumers find ungrammatical ads twice as annoying as insistent ones."

Also, Under LQA (Linguistic Quality Assurance)
Remove the comma: "We check our own translations directly within their contexts, and interfaces by selecting the best option thanks to tests on the field." Use a comma with a list of 3 or more... not a list of 2.

Correction & Proofreading
"We make sure your investments are not in vain. From AD headlines to landing pages: we help you optimize, replicate and make content that grants you as many leds as it can."
I think "AD" is meant to be "advertising"... and that can be shortened to "ad" -- but don't capitalize it.
"as many leds as it can." should be "leads"

Hellow Everybody!
And welcome to my comeback-apology-request-puzzle-train discussion!
tl;dr I came back after a 2 years absence since I need your priceless help to get feedbacks on a website I've created (+ there is a puzzle that leads to a 17 GAs train in this discussion, even for people who don't feel like giving their feedback)
Wait, wait, wait... let me explain:
This is both a comeback and an apology for being MIA for 2 years... While I have always enjoyed spending time with this awesome community and creating brain-twisting puzzles, as for many of us, RL got in the way, the stars aligned, and study+job+private life gave me a hard time during the same period.
That said, the request part is also somewhat related to my job: let's just say that the team I am working with (as an EN>IT translator) has created a website and we will soon be using that website so we need it to be as user-friendly and beautiful as possible. And this is where you can immensely help us, by browsing a couple of minutes the Found in Translation website and then fill up this form.
Speaking of giveaways, where is the 17-GAs-train??? Well, I've said there is a puzzle as well, ain't it? 😏 I won't say no more, just know it is not nasty like one of my old puzzles, but also not so obvious.
Please remember to bump the discussion
Please do not disclose any solution or hint with other users in order not to spoil the puzzle (and their fun)
Keep in mind that all GAs are LVL 1+ restricted
List of GAs behind the puzzle: Of Orcs And Men---Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth---Mini Thief---Torchlight---Paradise Lost---Black Future '88---Two Worlds II HD - Call of the Tenebrae---Fated Souls 3---Orcs Must Die! 2---The Last Tinker™: City of Colors---The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia (2 Copies)---Evergarden-Heli Heroes---Cities in Motion 2---Men of War: Assault Squad---Red Wings: Aces of the Sky---Kingdom Wars 2: Definitive Edition
Welp, there are three days remaining and some of you had a hard time trying to even find the puzzle so I guess it's time to share two hints on stuff you've directly asked me:
1. For the ones who cannot find the puzzle, I can tell you that a requirement is knowing this vital part of SG, and I'll say a little more: it is about exploiting the custom link creation
2. The god: we are talking about Romans, not Greeks, and this should boil down your options to just one
...and most important of all, always remember that...
