clicky

I always like good musical and vivid/flashy games (still play child of eden with kinect 'till this day) and just found out about this game today. Anyone heard of it before or have even played it? The number of reviews is small and its steam forum is quite conflicted with 50 enjoy it and 50 despise it.

irrelevant section: do you have any involvement with music? I made music on newgrounds though all my tracks are shitty so far, will have to work on that :)

I personally really enjoyed Symphony. My fiancée got it as a birthday present and ordered me to give it a go. It depends what songs you have as to how good it is.

the thing is many people on steam forum say that unlike Audio Surf, the difficulty of symphony sometimes does not depend on the tempo or the song at all making slow, soothing song harder than it should be. That was what I liked in audio surf, I could enjoy it however I want either with sth instrumental for relaxing or challenging with sth of rock or fast.

I can't say I ever noticed that myself. I thought Symphony's difficulty was pretty good at keeping track of the tempo and I tried a lot of separate genres while I played.

I can't say I've ever played Symphony, but have played alot of other music based games. I didn't care for Audiosurf too much, even though I listen to alot of heavy music. Beat Hazard I enjoyed thoroughly, you should check that out if you like Asteroid type games and seizures. A few other music ones I know of are Auditorium and Sequence.

I play Rocksmith quite a bit as well. It's like Guitar Hero, except with your real guitar/bass. It's a bit pricey if you can't find it on sale, but worth it if you are serious in pursuing guitars. There is also a free site called YouTab which is a neat teacher.

I enjoyed Symphony but it's inferior to Audiosurf. My review for it is here but it's in Polish and Translate Google doesn't really like languages with grammatical cases but you can give it a try :)
