Lots of itch.io devs whose game is on steam give a Steam key with a DRM-free itch.io purchase...
The recent trend of mass itch.io key giveaways for Greenlight games have not included Steam keys, though.

Yes it is a drm-free version, for site itch.io, by analogy gog or desura, to activation key, copy the link, log in to your account itch.io and click on link my account
