So this group and the admin Rabidchihuahua, are officially on my personal black list.
Why you might ask? Well simply because I was wrongfully banned form the chat for no particular reason. I understand not letting me into the group but banning me from the chat so I can't communicate with the members is completely unacceptable.

Yup that's why I have 160+ hours on Civ V, 100+ hours on Terraria, and a steady stream of 2 to 5 hours on league of legends and other non-steam games.

How can I not take this personally I meet all the requirements of the group yet I'm discriminated against for no good reason banned and barred from talking to anyone or argueing.
I felt the need to post this here to warn members of the Steam Gifts community that while the members of the group are fun and intelligent and are overall good people the admin has her own agenda and you wont like it.
Anyway that's my rant for the day,
if someone of the group sees this please point it out to her that people shouldn't judge someone so quickly I'd also like to input that I have no intention of joining the group now for why would someone want to be involved in a group with a admin such as her?

I have a eBay business and I work as a freelancer as well as my job at my work.
I do have recent playtime however it's not through steam games.

I felt like I needed to put in my own opinion, and perhaps enlighten you as to why your application was denied.
All things are considered, and we are looking for people who will not only review games that they win in the group, but will also contribute back, will submit reviews in a timely manner, and will be an active part of this community.
"I'm sorry but I don't think you are what we are looking for..." If you wish to believe that you're not wanted in the group because you make the occasional typo, then by all means, believe what you wish. Truthfully though, the only reason you were even considered for the group was the fact that you did seem active and joining chat and participating in conversations was a good sign. However, your profile (both SG and Steam) do not seem to indicate that you're really the model member we're looking for, and these ultimately resulted in your application being denied.
The "You don't seem to have a steady stream of income" stems from you mentioning in chat that if only your dad/boss will pay you the money he owes you, you will be able to make some giveaways. Also you mentioned that you do not have the income to purchase games yourself, so if money really is so tight for you, it's not absurd to expect that you may struggle financially to give back to this community.
"Plus you don't seem to have a lot of hours played clocked in" is based on reviewing your Steam profile, showing 2.4 hours played in the past 2 weeks. Reviewing games is demanding, and requires you to be able to put in the hours needed to both play the game and write up a review for it.

She took the time to PM you personally with the reasons why we didn't feel you were a good fit to the community and tried to end things on a good note and wish you the best of luck. You then proceed to add other members in the group asking about the chat ban and to make this flame post on our recruitment thread to try to dissuade others from joining.

You keep referring to the “earn” I used in one of my posts, it was a mistake to use that work because I have stated that I realize I have to give back to your group (which I wouldn’t call a community.) If you had done any further investigation you would have realized I have a well-stocked inventory of steam games.
I’ve already responded to the money related issues that your group (by that I mean your admin) seems to think I have.
I can understand the whole not having enough recent time counted on my steam profile but you should note that steam doesn’t count time for non-steam games.
Finally, she was rude, she had me banned from the chat for no reason, I had to go through a member of the group in order to find out why. She made no effort to make sure I had gotten the Private Message she had sent me, I don’t even know if it’s true she had sent me one before as I wasn’t notified by steam. None the less I was banned from the chat when it wasn’t necessary so I do and will take offence to that.
PS: Why wouldn’t I educate the Steam Gifts community about what I went through with your group? I’ve provided input on your group to help the members of SG to better understand how your group operates.
PPS: A Flame post is quite a bit different, however if so inclined I could flame your threads if you wish me to. However that would be against the rules of the forum so I'd think better of it.

I never referenced "earn" so perhaps it's best for you to practice what you preach and "Learn to read." I referenced the monetary concerns you yourself expressed while in our group chat here and here which brought up our own concerns about whether you would be able to handle the financial burden of giving back. Your SG profile as well does not show a good history of contributions to the site, so in the end, we have no proof that you'd actually be able to contribute as you so claim.
It is true that your playing time does not account for non-Steam games, though in combination with the other issues we had, led us to the decision to deny your application.
Perhaps our definitions of rude do not align, since I see having your application denied to be a pretty good indication of why there's no further need for you to join our group chat since a decision has already been made. She even went so far as to PM you personally with the reasons why, which you may not have immediately noticed if she's not on your friend's list. This is a courtesy she did not have to extend, she could have simply banned you and replied no to your application.
I'm frankly surprised you're concerned about the rules of the forum since stating openly why a particular person is on your blacklist is considered calling out and against the rules. Please threaten us some more.

Anyway I personally have a problem with your group or rather the admin and I feel I was in the right to voice my opinion on this particular topic. I'm honestly tired of arguing so I'll take the high road and just leave.
I've done what I wanted to do voice my opinion and hopefully driven off at least one user from a bad experience.
PS: Just because someone can't be a member doesn't mean they can't chat with people and maybe make friends banning them is unnecessary.

The chat room is for a private group, hence an elite few. Sure I will let potential members in but in the end there are events such as key drops and occasionally private giveaways which non-members should just not be privy too. The way you blew this out of proportion and broke the forum's rules by calling out only made yourself look immature quite honestly and further confirmed my decision to not accept you as a member.

There is no membership without being a active creator of giveaways. That is just the first requirement within a week or so you should either have a giveaway or review posted. Plus you really don't meet the other requirements.
